Interessi moratori, usura e c.d. clausola di salvaguardia

2020

The essay deals with the issue of the relevance of interest for non perfomance within the abstract usury and provides a positive response to their inclusion in the global effective rate of the particular contract (so called TEG) even in the absence of their consideration in the context of the average global effective rate (so called TEGM). The theses formulated in the study concern: the relevance of interest for non perfomarce in the usury; the need for their evaluation combined with other items of remuneration, cost or expense; the absence of any impediment to this assessment linked to the non-inclusion of interest for non performance within the effective rate global average of the homogen…

UV variability and accretion in NGC 2264

2015

Photometric variability is a distinctive feature of young stellar objects; exploring variability signatures at different wavelengths provides insight into the physical processes at work in these sources. We explore the variability signatures at ultraviolet (UV) and optical wavelengths for several hundred accreting and non-accreting members of the star-forming region NGC 2264 (~3Myr). SOME REFLECTIONS CONCERNING THE CURRENT FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEMS OF ROMANIA

2012

We address these issues, which we consider fundamental for Romania and not only, in a time when the impact of the economic crisis and of the IMF loan are far from being shaped conceptually and pragmatically, as solutions. We, unfortunately alone, express the view that this devastating phenomenon - the crisis - has two distinct components: a real one, induced by the errors that were made, especially in the banking system and a psychological one of fear, of the disorder, the arbitrary restriction of activity, etc., therefore generated out of ignorance, which in our opinion has the largest impact.Regarding the IMF loan, we want to warn that any borrowing for consumption has dramatic consequence…

Atlas of the Baltic languages: plant names of Slavonic origin

2015

Atlas of the Baltic Languages: Plant Names of Slavonic Origin The article investigates Slavonic-derived plant names in dialects of the two surviving Baltic languages – Latvian and Lithuanian. Historically, these Slavonisms were originally adopted by small-scale regional dialects, which are now disappearing. In 2009, a pilot study for the Atlas of the Baltic Languages was published. It comprised 12 geo-linguistic maps with Latvian, Lithuanian and English commentaries. 2012 saw the publication, in CD format, of the Atlas ’s first volume: Lexis 1: Flora . The material analysed concerns names for: (1) wild plants, e.g., cornflower, nettle, waybread, milfoil, dandelion, plantain; (2) cultivated …

A CLASSIFICATION OF BORROWINGS: OBSERVATIONS FROM ROMANIAN/ENGLISH CONTACT

2013

The classification of language contact phenomena has always been an important concern among researchers in the field. In particular, the term borrowing has received different definitions from different writers, covering a wide spectrum of words, from pure loanwords to hybrid loans and semantic extensions. This paper presents one of the most influential taxonomies of borrowings in the literature, and analyzes the way in which the various categories proposed in this taxonomy apply to the Romanian/English contact situation. English borrowings selected from a corpus of journalistic prose and from the specialized literature are used to illustrate the theoretical discussion.

The inhibitors - a challenge for the management of patients with hereditary haemophilia A.

2018

Abstract Introduction. Our research strategy was aimed at evaluating the possible implication of the type of factor VIII product administered as substitution treatment to haemophilia A patients in the occurrence of inhibitors and their consequences on the management. Methods. Scientific articles from July 2015 to July 2017 were searched using the PubMed and PubMed Central databases. The used search terms included “haemophilia A”, “inhibitors”, “plasma-derived factor VIII” and “recombinant factor VIII”. Results. The risk factors for inhibitors occurrence may be patients-related (genetic and nongenetic) and treatment-related. The possibility of a correlation between the increased purity of fa…
