Rehabilitation of ancient towns poses special questions because of the existing complex physical and social ties that can be properly integrated in decisions on sustainable urban planning by multi-criteria evaluations. This work proposes a description model aiding actions and decisions for the rehabilitation of historic centres through tourism development in Sicilian hinterland areas. The decision problem concerns the town of Cianciana, which in recent years has been appreciated by strangers who stay on this town to live with the local inhabitants. This contribution is intended briefly to relate the territorial analyzes on the dimensions of the rurality of the Belìce in the years following the earthquake that struck the area in 1968 with the current development prospects linked to the rural milieu of the area. Focusing on the studies and analyzes of Costantino Caldo and on contemporary literature, we have traced the essential characteristics of the primary sector of Belìce between the Sixties and Seventies and compared it with the current peculiarities, essential for setting the local development strategy of the first LAG which aggregates the entire area.

El artículo presenta un estudio de caso de una política juvenil realizada en la última década en una región del Sur de Italia. Su interés reside en la versatilidad, el enfoque multidimensional y en el hecho de haber actuado como un óptimo instrumento de desarrollo local. El estudio de caso se ha realizado a través del análisis documental de las evaluaciones ex -ante, durante y ex – post que se hicieron para valorar el impacto de la política. La reflexión que el caso propone se enfoca en cómo se puede promover eficazmente el desarrollo local a través de políticas más trasversales.

Local banks and credit: from crisis to the new regulatory proposals for the development of lending policies in favour of the real economy

Comparing the credit cooperative banks (CCBs) and banking groups operating in Italy, descriptive analyses show that the CCBs, unlike large banks, despite the economic downturn, have continued to extend credit to customers, but at the cost of a higher incidence of bad credit. This increased credit risk of local banks has been caused by management policy choices, such as the preference to modify the conditions applicable to credit supply and to engage firms in long-term credit relationships rather than initiate credit recovery procedures. Les Missions Interculturals és un projecte de participació comunitària en educació, cultura i desenvolupament local que té com a objectius contribuir a la consecució d'una societat inclusiva i fomentar el desenvolupament local. El present article és una descripció del procés viscut durant la primera edició del projecte, el qual ha tingut lloc en les poblacions de Vilanova d'Alcolea i Sant Mateu (Castelló, Espanya).
