Resolution of singularities for multi-loop integrals

We report on a program for the numerical evaluation of divergent multi-loop integrals. The program is based on iterated sector decomposition. We improve the original algorithm of Binoth and Heinrich such that the program is guaranteed to terminate. The program can be used to compute numerically the Laurent expansion of divergent multi-loop integrals regulated by dimensional regularisation. The symbolic and the numerical steps of the algorithm are combined into one program.

A second-order differential equation for the two-loop sunrise graph with arbitrary masses

We derive a second-order differential equation for the two-loop sunrise graph in two dimensions with arbitrary masses. The differential equation is obtained by viewing the Feynman integral as a period of a variation of a mixed Hodge structure, where the variation is with respect to the external momentum squared. The fibre is the complement of an elliptic curve. From the fact that the first cohomology group of this elliptic curve is two-dimensional we obtain a second-order differential equation. This is an improvement compared to the usual way of deriving differential equations: Integration-by-parts identities lead only to a coupled system of four first-order differential equations.

Abstract In many branch-and-price algorithms, the column generation subproblem consists of computing feasible constrained paths. In the capacitated arc-routing problem (CARP), elementarity constraints concerning the edges to be serviced and additional constraints resulting from the branch-and-bound process together impose two types of loop-elimination constraints. To fulfill the former constraints, it is common practice to rely on a relaxation where loops are allowed. In a k-loop elimination approach all loops of length k and smaller are forbidden. Generalized SCODEF Deformations on Subdivision Surfaces

This paper proposes to define a generalized SCODEF deformation method on a subdivision surface. It combines an “easy-to-use” free-form deformation with a Loop subdivision algorithm. The deformation method processes only on vertices of an object and permits the satisfaction of geometrical constraints given by the user. The method controls the resulting shape, defining the range (i.e. the impact) of the deformation on an object before applying it. Integration by parts for heat measures over loop groups

Abstract The formula of integration by parts for heat measures over a loop group established by B. Driver is revesited through an alternative approach to this result. We shall first establish directly the integration by parts formula over an unimodular Lie group (which will be the finite product of a compact Lie group with a correlated metric), using the concept of tangent processes. A new expression for Ricci tensor will enable us the passage to the limit.
Learning a class of regular expressions via restricted subset queries

A wide class of regular expressions non-representable as unions of “smaller” expressions is shown to be polynomial-time learnable via restricted subset queries from arbitrary representative examples “reflecting” the loop structure and a way the input example is obtained from the unknown expression. The corresponding subclass of regular expressions of loop depth at most 1 is shown to be learnable from representative examples via membership queries. A wide class of expressions with loops A+ of arbitrary loop depth is shown to be learnable via restricted subset queries from arbitrary examples.
