In this paper the control of a grid-connected Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS), based on a sensorless vector controlled Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) fed by a matrix converter, is presented. The matrix converter is controlled using a space vector modulation algorithm. Stability issues related to the operation of the WECS connected to the grid using a matrix converter are also discussed in this work. The influence of a synchronous rotating filter in the dynamic of the proposed WECS is analysed. In this paper, a new loss minimization control algorithm for inverter-fed permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), which allows for the reduction of the power losses of the electric drive without penalty on its dynamic performance, is analyzed, experimentally realized, and validated. This paper presents a demodulation algorithm applied to the sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM). The sensorless control technique reported in this paper is based on the injection of high frequency voltages to the stator so that the motor currents contain information on the rotor position. This information is then extracted by an appropriate demodulation technique. This paper presents an experimental investigation regarding the power losses variations occurring in three-phase induction motors (IMs) as a function of the magnetization level of the machine. More in detail, the power losses identification is obtained by changing in real-time the working operating conditions of the IM drive and the IM reference flux. In the application of CNC feed drives it is desirable to predict the servo performance. By using computer simulation techniques it is possible to construct an accurate model of the servo drive. Sensorless control of permanent magnet synchronous motors for wide speed range applications

This paper deals with sensorless control of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (IPMS) based on the estimation of speed and rotor angular position. The above estimate is based on the injection of high frequency stator currents able to generate a signal similar to that generated by a resolver connected to the axis of the motor.
