Cytokines are a group of small proteins involved in the regulation of infection, immune responses and inflammation. Since altered cytokine responsiveness has been linked to Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC), research to date indicates the possibility of using salivary pro- and anti-inflammatory proteins for screening of oral disorders. The tenosynovial giant cell tumour (localized type) is a tumour of tendon sheaths and interphalangeal joints, affecting the digits and arising from the synovium. It is characterized by a proliferation of mononuclear cells and osteoclast-like polykaryocytes. Tenascin is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein, relevant for embryonal and fetal development, which is reexpressed in the stroma of benign and malignant tumors. The role of insulin-like growth factor II in the malignant transformation of rat liver oval cells

Oval cells are small nonparenchymal epithelial cells that first appear in the periportal areas of the liver and thereafter invade the whole parenchyma when mice or rats are exposed to a variety of chemical carcinogens. Giant schwannoma of the foot: a case report and literature review

A schwannoma is a rare, benign tumor originating from Schwann cells of peripheral nerve sheath. It commonly occurs in subjects between 20 and 50 years of age, and its malignant transformation is exceptional. While schwannomas usually affect the head and neck region, localization in the lower extremity is exceptionally rare, and even fewer cases have described schwannomas occurring in the foot.
