Aspirācijas parādība ir cieši saistīta ar angļu valodas izrunu, tādēļ izpētei kā mācīt aspirāciju ar datora palīdzību ir liela nozīme. Pētījuma mērķis bija izstrādāt uz tehnoloģijām balstītus vingrinājumus, kas varētu palīdzēt mācīt studentiem angļu valodas līdzskaņu aspirācijas aspektus. Teorija par līdzskaņu aspirāciju un valodas apguvi/pasniegšanu ar datoru palīdzību tika izpētīta, kā arī darba gaidā aspirācijas tēma tika pasniegta studentiem izmantojot Audacity programmu. How Personal Finance Management Systems Emancipate and Oppress Young People

In order to achieve financial well-being, individuals need to make sensible financial decisions. Personal finance management (PFM) systems help individuals with saving, budgeting, consumption, borrowing, and lending tasks. As much as these systems help individuals, they may also have unintended consequences. This study increases the knowledge of how PFM systems emancipate and oppress young people. We used an interpretive research approach and collected qualitative data. Our major finding is that PFM systems emancipate young people by promoting agency (the freedom to act) due to the efficient implementation of PFM tasks, for example. This work-in-progress research investigates teacher-student communication via Learning Management Systems (LMS) in highly populated courses. An LMS called TIM (The Interactive Material) includes a specific commenting technology that attempts to make teacher-student dialog effortless. The research goal is to explore students’ willingness to use the technology and identify patterns of usage. Medical texts (reports, articles, etc.) are usually written by professionals (physicians, medical researchers, etc.) who use their own language and communication style. On the other hand, these texts are often read by health consumers (as in the case of medical reports) who do not have the same skills and vocabularies of the experts and can have difficulties in text comprehension. To help a health consumer in understanding a medical text, it would be desirable to have an automatic system that, given a text written with medical (technical) terms, translates them in simple or plain language and provides additional information with the same kind of language. Przedstawiono wyniki badań w zakresie możliwości integracji dwóch normatywnych systemów zarządzania obejmujących system środowiskowy oraz system zarządzania energią. Wykazano koherentność oraz tożsamość obydwu systemów z zaznaczeniem, że system środowiskowy ma bardziej holistyczny charakter. Wynika to z wymagań dotyczących aspektów środowiskowych, które w ogromnej większości odnoszą się także do kwestii energetycznych. Wskazano na korzyści, jakie niesie jeden spójny, zintegrowany system w porównaniu z systemami rozproszonymi.
