The aim of this document is a presentation of the Arch process which allows a new and powerful technic for modelling behaviour on financial markets. From the seminal paper of ENGLE (1982), numerous extensions were proposed to adapt this specification of the Arch process to particular situations. These models are presented here, with adapted estimation methods and some appropriate tests.
Non-stationarity tests and nonlinear trends

This paper stresses the importance of the hypothesis of linearity of the deterministic component imposed by unit root testing procedures most frequently used in empirical literature. We suggest an empirical testing strategy which reduces the risk of reaching false conclusions due to the misspecification of that component and we apply it to the analysis of the nonstationarity exhibited by real GNP in France. We show that it is possible to find someflexible specifications which enable us to reject the unit root null hypothesis otherwise strongly supported in empirical literature. Responsive polymers are low-cost, light weight and flexible, and thus an attractive class of materials for the integration into micromechanical and lab-on-chip systems. Triggered by external stimuli, liquid crystalline elastomers are able to perform mechanical motion and can be utilized as microactuators. Here we present the fabrication of one-piece micropumps from liquid crystalline core-shell elastomer particles via a microfluidic double-emulsion process, the continuous nature of which enables a low-cost and rapid production. Phonons in single-layer and few-layer MoS2 and WS2

We report ab initio calculations of the phonon dispersion relations of the single-layer and bulk dichalcogenides MoS2 and WS2. We explore in detail the behavior of the Raman-active modes A1g and E12g as a function of the number of layers. In agreement with recent Raman spectroscopy measurements [C. Lee et al., ACS Nano 4, 2695 (2010)], we find that the A1g mode increases in frequency with an increasing number of layers while the E12g mode decreases. We explain this decrease by an enhancement of the dielectric screening of the long-range Coulomb interaction between the effective charges with a growing number of layers. We are interested in the Journal of Mathématiques Pures and Appliquées (JMPA) over the period 1917-1937. From the end of 1921 , two mathematicians worked to its publication, Henri Villat as editor in chief and Robert Montessus Ballore as associate editor. Through unpublished letters , we descrive the operation of the JMPA after WWI.

Characterisation of soit structure within the tilled layer of cultivated fields is crucial because the importance of this soil characteristic on the biological, chemical and physical properties of the soil and its repercussions on water cycle, root growth and functioning. We present in this paper a method for field characterisation of soil structure. This method, practised since the 1970s, was designed for field diagnosis of the effects of cropping systems on soil structure.
