On Attacking Future 5G Networks with Adversarial Examples : Survey
2022
The introduction of 5G technology along with the exponential growth in connected devices is expected to cause a challenge for the efficient and reliable network resource allocation. Network providers are now required to dynamically create and deploy multiple services which function under various requirements in different vertical sectors while operating on top of the same physical infrastructure. The recent progress in artificial intelligence and machine learning is theorized to be a potential answer to the arising resource allocation challenges. It is therefore expected that future generation mobile networks will heavily depend on its artificial intelligence components which may result in …
Robotization of Mobile Communication
2020
The aim of this chapter is to systematize the discussion regarding robotization of mobile communication. The chapter begins by clarifying the fundamental role of both robot hardware and robot software in this process. This is followed by a critical overview of existing research, which is classified into three categories. First, robotization is understood as the hybridization of the human body with existing ordinary mobile devices. Second, the incorporation of new robotic software, such as algorithms, artificial intelligence, and virtual assistants, into mobile devices is seen to robotize them from inside. Third, the convergence of smart communication devices, typically as user interfaces wi…
Perception-based pricing strategies for mobile services in customer marketing context
2004
Traditional pricing research has focused on analysing price setting procedures and cost or competition based pricing strategies. Customer- or perception-oriented pricing strategies have been left on little attention among business practitioners and academics. The need for development and investigation of these new pricing strategies has occurred after the emergence of new electronic and mobile services; traditional pricing strategies have resulted unsatisfactory results. With this study we have concentrated on elucidating the unobserved fields of perception-based pricing in mobile services business. The focal point of the study consists of analyses of the customers’ price perceptions of mob…
Factors affecting acceptance of mobile content services among mature consumers
2009
The aim of this study is to increase our understanding of mature consumers as users of technological services. More specifically, the objective is to find out which factors have an effect on the acceptance of mobile content services in the target group. The services studied are mobile services, including content that is provided by a service provider. Examples of mobile content services are mobile news, mobile banking and downloading ringing tones. In order to arrive at a theoretical model, the previous literature on technology acceptance is explored from a general and a more age group-specific perspective. The literature review is multidisciplinary, concentrating on knowledge generated in m…

Dependability aspects in the development and provision of location-based services
2006
Mobiiliverkkokaupalle on ennustettu suurta tulevaisuutta. Suomes…
Adoption of mobile banking in Finland
2003
Banking is an area in which technology has had a fundamental impact on the everyday lives of consumers. This article-based dissertation examines an innovation in the financial services industry, namely mobile banking services. It seeks to determine and explain the factors affecting the adoption of mobile banking services, thus the perspective taken by the dissertation is one that focuses on consumer behaviour patterns. In order to arrive at a theoretical model, it draws on traditional theories of innovation diffusion and adoption, and also on the literature relating to electronic banking and technology-based services. The model was tested with an empirical study. This aimed at conceptualisi…
