Automatic detection of cervical cells in Pap-smear images using polar transform and k-means segmentation

We introduce a novel method of cell detection and segmentation based on a polar transformation. The method assumes that the seed point of each candidate is placed inside the nucleus. The polar representation, built around the seed, is segmented using k-means clustering into one candidate-nucleus cluster, one candidate-cytoplasm cluster and up to three miscellaneous clusters, representing background or surrounding objects that are not part of the candidate cell. Daugavpils (Latvia) and Narva (Estonia) are cities in the Baltic States and signifi cant cultural and economic centres of their respective countries. These cities are characterized by a minority of nationals (19.8% of residents of Daugavpils are Latvian, 4% of residents of Narva are Estonian) and a similar linguistic situation: there is a dominance of Russian in the press, television and radio, but the state language prevails in the urban language signs.The aim of the study is to analyse the linguistic and extralinguistic means used for the creation of ergonyms of educational and cultural spheres. Beyond Tandem Analysis: Joint Dimension Reduction and Clustering in R

We present the R package clustrd which implements a class of methods that combine dimension reduction and clustering of continuous or categorical data. In particular, for continuous data, the package contains implementations of factorial K-means and reduced K-means; both methods combine principal component analysis with K-means clustering. For categorical data, the package provides MCA K-means, i-FCB and cluster correspondence analysis, which combine multiple correspondence analysis with K-means. Two examples on real data sets are provided to illustrate the usage of the main functions.

Wydaje się konieczna i rzetelna ocena w różnych obszarach naszego życia społecznego, zwłaszcza w edukacji, zakresu i sposobu ich wykorzystania. Środki unijne w dużym stopniu wsparły różne działania. Jednak od nas samych zależy na co je wykorzystamy i jak je spożytkujemy. Lai gan netrūkst pētījumu par jautājumiem, kas saistīti ar ātro modi, ilgtspējīgu patēriņu, plašsaziņas līdzekļiem un pārliecinošo diskursu, ir salīdzinoši nedaudz pētījumu, kuros pievērsta uzmanība ātrās modes pārliecinošajai valodai, salīdzinot to ar ilgtspējīgu patēriņu.Tādēļ bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt pārliecināšanas līdzekļus, kas tiek lietoti, diskutējot par ātrās modes un ilgtspējības tēmām. Pētījums ir veikts, izmantojot satura analīzi. Reklāma ir īpaši nozīmīga un izplatīta mūsdienu sabiedrībā, tāpat kā nepieciešamība pēc zinātniskiem pētījumiem un izpratne par tās ietekmes sfērām, kas lielā mērā nosaka reklāmas tekstu lingvistiskās un stilistiskās iezīmes. Darbā tiek pētīti stilistiski pārtikas produktu reklāmas līdzekļi, ko izmanto vadošie starptautiskie pārtikas mazumtirgotāji, kas darbojas Latvijas tirgū.
