Tree visitation and seed dispersal of wild cherries by terrestrial mammals along a human land-use gradient

Abstract The role of terrestrial mammals as seed dispersers of fleshy-fruited plants has only rarely been investigated in temperate regions although recent studies underline the importance of these animals for long-distance seed dispersal. Here we examine the potential role of mammals as seed dispersers of wild cherry (Prunus avium L.) along a gradient of human land-use intensity. We placed camera traps at 21 wild cherry trees to identify the mammal species that visited the trees. Japānas krūmcidonijas Chaenomeles japonica šūnu suspensijas kultūras raksturošana pielietošanai biotehnoloģijā

Darba mērķis bija raksturot Japānas krūmcidonijas Chaenomeles japonica suspensiju kultūru un izvērtēt tās pielietojumu biotehnoloģijā. Darbā no C. japonica kallusu kultūrām iegūtas suspensiju kultūras, veikta šūnu vizualizācija ar fluorescences mikroskopijas metodēm. Konstruēta augšanas līkne, no kuras ievākti paraugi antiradikālās aktivitātes, kopējo fenolu un antocianīnu satura noteikšanai. Lielāko fenolu savienojumu koncentrāciju un augstāko antiradikālo un antimikrobiālo aktivitāti uzrādīja stacionārās fāzes paraugi. Lielāko antocianīnu saturu uzrādīja astotās dienas paraugs. Šūnas suspensijās agregātos bija lielākoties dediferencējušās.

Eksprestestu metodes lietojumu cinka noteikšanā izpēte. Petkuna K., darba vadītājs Dr. chem., doc. Ģībietis J. Bakalaura darbs, 52 lappuses, 28 attēli, 28 tabulas, 38 literatūras avoti, 1 pielikums. Eksperimentālajā daļā veikta cinka noteikšana ar eksprestestiem ūdens šķīdumos, veicot nolasījumus vizuāli un reflektofotometriski.
