Sprādzienbīstamās vides risks gāzes krātuvē

2022

“Sprādzienbīstamās vides risks gāzes krātuvē”. Darba autors: Andreass Petkuns, darba vadītājs: Dr.ķīm., docents Ingars Reinholds. Darbs izpildīts uz 51 lpp., darbs ietver 3 tabulas, 25 attēlus, 2 pielikumus 16 informatīvos avotus. Kvalifikācijas darba pētījums tika veikts A/S „Conexus Baltic Grid” Inčukalna pazemes gāzes krātuvē par sprādzienbīstamības vides risku. Pētījums sastāv no 4 daļām.

2016

Masteroppgave folkehelsevitenskap - Universitetet i Agder 2016 Background: Two different intervention models were developed to increase participation in physical education in high school, targeting “motion enjoyment” and “sport enjoyment”. Both models are intended to increase the pleasure of physical activity in physical education, as well as to contribute to the development of students’ skills, abilities and increase future commitment. The intention behind the motion enjoyment model is to reinforce positive experiences which are related to physical activity, along with raising the awareness in young people of the health benefits associated with physical activity. The sport enjoyment model …

Promoting Students’ Health at University: Key Stakeholders, Cooperation, and Network Development

2021

Background: Cooperation among university units is considered a cornerstone for the promotion of students' health. The underlying mechanisms of health-promoting networks at universities have rarely been examined so far. Shedding light on partnerships is generally limited to the naming of allied actors in a network. Objectives and Methods: In this study, we used network analysis intending to visualize and describe the positions and characteristics of the network actors, and examine organizational relationships to determine the characteristics of the complete network. Results: The network analysis at hand provides in-depth insights into university structures promoting students' health comprisi…

Dual Enzyme-Triggered Controlled Release on Capped Nanometric Silica Mesoporous Supports

2012

The development of nanoscopic hybrid materials equipped with “molecular gates” showing the ability of releasing target entrapped guests upon the application of an external trigger has attracted great attention and has been extensively explored during recent years.1 These nanodevices are composed of two subunits, namely, a suitable support and certain capping entities grafted on the surface of the scaffolding.2 The support is used as a suitable reservoir in which certain chemicals can be stored whereas the molecules grafted in the outer surface act as a “gate” and can control the release of the entrapped molecules at will. Both components are carefully selected and arranged in order to achie…

MR Imaging of Uterus Didelphys Transverse Vaginal Septum Causing Hematometrocolpos and Renal Agenesis

2002

The association of uterus didelphys and unilateral blind vagina with ipsilateral renal agenesis is an infrequent urogenital malformation distinguished by a lesion of the mesonephric duct. In most patients, symptoms are present at the beginning of the menstrual cycle because a transverse vaginal septum on one side obstructs the flow of menses, which consequently collect. Magnetic resonance imaging allows a precise delineation of this congenital abnormality, clearly demonstrating the transverse vaginal septum with hematometrocolpos and uterus didelphys. Extending the magnetic resonance study to the abdomen and employing coronal sections with a wide field of view is important to search for ass…

Explaining the Usage Intentions of Exergames

2014

Different kinds of digital gaming concepts that combine exercise and games, commonly referred to as exergames, have become increasingly common in recent years. These games, which can be used because of both hedonic and utilitarian reasons, have also become a subject of growing interest among academic researchers. However, the factors that explain their usage remain vaguely understood. This study aims to find out what kinds of factors explain the intentions to use exergames as part of one’s exercise. To do this, we first propose a new theoretical model for explaining the usage intentions of exergames and then empirically test this model by analyzing an online survey sample collected from 271…

Hermetic Roots of Marsilio Ficino’s Anthropocentric Thought

2013

Marsilio Ficino’s relationship to the Hermetic literary tradition has long been a controversial issue in academic discussion. Although Ficino is commonly known as a translator and keen reader of the philosophical Hermetica, his allegiances to the Hermetic ideas have been recognized only in his theory of magic (only to be denied later), while in other cases, in general, scholars tend to deny the impact of Hermetic writings instead of accepting it. This paper explores a topic in which the denial has been particularly harsh, namely Ficino’s Promethean philosophy of man, highlighted as the most influential achievement of his thought by previous generations (e.g. by Trinkaus). Despite the neglec…

Playful approaches to news engagement

2020

From crossword puzzles and quizzes to more complex gamification strategies and serious newsgames, legacy media has long explored ways to deploy playful approaches to deliver their content and engage with the audience. We examine how news and games fit together when news organizations, game creators and news audiences welcome gameful forms of communication and participation. Moreover, we reflect on the theoretical and empirical significance of merging news with games as a way to reformulate normative assumptions, production practices and consumption patterns. As a result, the boundaries between journalism and game’s logics start to erode, and they begin to find new ways of converging.

The European Union as a laboratory of paradiplomacy in the context of international and domestic determinants of regions' foreign activities

2019

Następnie przywołane zostały wymiary i typy paradyplomacji.
