Measurement of eta ' -> pi(+)pi(-)e(+)e(-) and eta ' -> pi(+)pi(-)mu(+)mu(-)

Based on a sample of 225.3 million J/psi events accumulated with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII, the decays of eta' -> pi(+)pi(-) l(+)l(-) are studied via J/psi -> gamma eta'. A clear eta' signal is observed in the pi(+)pi(-) e(+)e(-) mass spectrum, and the branching fraction is measured to be B(eta' -> pi(+)pi(-) e(+)e(-)) = (2.11 +/- 0.12(stat) +/- 0.14(syst)) x 10(-3), which is in good agreement with theoretical predictions and the previous measurement, but is determined with much higher precision. No eta' signal is found in the pi(+)pi(-) mu(+)mu(-) mass spectrum, and the upper limit is determined to be B(eta' -> pi(+)pi(-) mu(+)mu(-)) < 2.9 x 10(-5) at the 90% confidence level.
Measurement of CP asymmetry in D 0 → K - K + and D 0 → π - πdecays

Time-integrated $CP$ asymmetries in $D^0$ decays to the final states $K^- K^+$ and $\pi^- \pi^+$ are measured using proton-proton collisions corresponding to $3\mathrm{\,fb}^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity collected at centre-of-mass energies of $7\mathrm{\,Te\kern -0.1em V}$ and $8\mathrm{\,Te\kern -0.1em V}$. The $D^0$ mesons are produced in semileptonic $b$-hadron decays, where the charge of the accompanying muon is used to determine the initial flavour of the charm meson. Hidden charm N and Delta resonances with heavy-quark symmetry

A model is developed to describe odd-parity baryon resonances generated dynamically through a unitary baryon-meson coupled-channels approach. The scheme applies to channels with light- and/or heavy-quark content. Distinct features of the model are that i) the interaction is an S-wave contact one, ii) it reduces to the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa Hamiltonian when light pseudoscalar mesons are involved, thus respecting chiral symmetry, iii) spin-flavor is preserved in the light-quark sector, and iv) heavy-quark spin symmetry is fulfilled in the heavy-quark sector. Multiquark description of the D-sJ(2860) and D-sJ(2700)

Within a theoretical framework that accounts for all open-charm mesons, including the D-0*(2308), the D-sJ*(2317), and the D-sJ(2460), we analyze the structure and explore possible quantum number assignments for the D-sJ(2860) and the D-sJ(2700) mesons reported by BABAR and Belle Collaborations. The open-charm sector is properly described if considered as a combination of conventional quark-antiquark states and four-quark components. All negative parity and 2(+) states can be understood in terms only of q (q) over bar components, however the description of the 0(+) and 1(+) mesons is improved whenever the mixing between two- and four-quark configurations is included. Rapidity correlations in Lambda baryon and proton production in hadronic Z0 decays

In an analysis of multihadronic events recorded at LEP by DELPHI in the years 1992 through 1994, charged hadrons are identified using the measurement of their energy loss and their Cherenkov angle. Rapidity correlations of \La-\La, proton-proton, and \La-proton pairs are compared. The agreement with the string and cluster fragmentation models is tested. For those pairs that frame a meson in terms of rapidity the compensation of strangeness is studied. For \La{}$\overline{\mathrm{p}}$ pairs the additional correlation with respect to charged kaons is analysed.
Two-particle correlations in pp, (p)over-bar(p)over-bar and (KSKS0)-K-0 pairs from hadronic Z decays

Two-particle correlations in pp, and pairs have been studied in hadronic Z decays recorded at LEP with the ALEPH detector. The correlations were measured as a function of the four-momentum difference Q of the pair. For pp, pairs a depletion of events is observed in the region , and for pairs an enhancement of events is observed in the region . These features are consistent with expectations from Fermi–Dirac and Bose–Einstein statistics, respectively.
QCD resummation effects in forward J/ψ and very backward jet inclusive production at the LHC

´ We propose and study the inclusive production of a forward J/ψ and a very backward jet at the LHC as an observable to reveal high-energy resummation effects à la BFKL. Searches for B0 decays to combinations of charmless isoscalar mesons

We search for B meson decays into two-body combinations of eta, eta', omega, and phi mesons from 89 million B B-bar pairs collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at SLAC. We find the branching fraction BF(B0 -> eta omega) = (4.0^{+1.3}_{-1.2} +- 0.4) x 10^-6 with a significance of 4.3 sigma. For all the other decay modes we set the following 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions, in units of 10^-6 : BF(B0 -> eta eta)<2.8, BF(B0 -> eta eta')<4.6, BF(B0 -> eta' eta')<10, BF(B0 -> eta'omega)<2.8, BF(B0 -> eta phi)<1.0, BF(B0 -> eta' phi)<4.5, BF(B0 -> phi phi)<1.5.
