Problem Transformation Methods with Distance-Based Learning for Multi-Target Regression

Multi-target regression is a special subset of supervised machine learning problems. Problem transformation methods are used in the field to improve the performance of basic methods. The purpose of this article is to test the use of recently popularized distance-based methods, the minimal learning machine (MLM) and the extreme minimal learning machine (EMLM), in problem transformation. The main advantage of the full data variants of these methods is the lack of any meta-parameter. The experimental results for the MLM and EMLM show promising potential, emphasizing the utility of the problem transformation especially with the EMLM. peerReviewed

Starch modification by chemical reaction is widely used to improve the properties of native starch. Modified by citric acid, starch is characterized by specific properties resulting from the presence of citrate residues and as a result of cross-linking starch. The chemicals used for preparing starch citrates are safe for human health and the natural environment compared to the harsh chemicals used for conventional modifications. 1. Breve descrizione dell’oggetto di studio Il concorso del Palazzo di Giustizia di Roma si svolge in quattro fasi svolte tra il 1884 e il 1887. Il progetto per il primo concorso, del 1884, redatto dall’allora giovanissimo Ernesto Basile (Palermo 1857-1932), rivela una grande perizia progettuale che trasforma il complesso programma funzionale in un austero edificio in stile neofiorentino. Brief description of the object of study The competition of the Palace of Justice in Rome takes place in four phases between 1884 and 1887. The project for the first competition in 1884 drawn up by the then very young Ernesto Basile (Palermo 1857-1932) reveals a great deal of design expertise that transforms the complex functional program into an austere building in neo-florentine style. The original drawings of the building not realized kept in the Basile Endowment of the Department of Architecture of the University of Palermo have been the subject of preliminary study to the phases of analysis interpretation and conceptual reconstruction of the digital model. 2. Although not bound by law, by option, small and medium entities from Romania can prepare the statement for the modifications within their equity and / or the statement of cash flows. When companies select this option, any decision made by the consumer of accounting information is better founded, from the perspective of information sources that it uses, rather than the opposite, because the users of accounting information about a company are almost always interested by the way in which the company generates and uses cash and cash equivalents. In this paper we present the particularities implied in Romania by the preparation of the statement of cash flows using the indirect method.

En esta tesis doctoral se realizaron estudios computacionales para las enzimas caspasa-1 y la 3CLpro del SARS-CoV-2. Estas enzimas pertenecen a la familia de las cisteína proteasas, las cuales hidrolizan sus respectivos sustratos rompiendo un enlace peptídico en particular. En esta reacción interviene una diada catalítica conformada por un par Cis-His. This paper introduces the idea of data-driven narratives to examine how the use of information, communications, and media technologies (ICMTs) impacts the sustainable growth of economies. While ICMTs have regularly been advocated as a policy tool for growth and development, there is a research gap in empirical studies validating how such policies may be effective. Il saggio propone una comparazione tra gli strumenti, le metodologie e le modalità di insegnamento del progetto di architettura in Italia e Spagna, più specificatamente tra l’Università di Palermo e la Universitat Politècnica de València, riportando alcuni esiti dei corsi nelle due Università, con particolare riferimento alle forme dell’abitare domestico, e alla poetica dello spazio interno.
