We studied cross-sectional, longitudinal and temporal associations between executive function and life-space mobility in old age. We assessed the association between intellectual ability in early adulthood and physical functioning in old age, and the association between early life motor development and cognitive performance in early old age. Miesten ja naisten työt jakautuivat jo kulttuurien varhaisaikoina, jolloin elanto saatiin metsästäen, kalastaen ja luonnon antimia keräillen. Maatalouden omaksumisen jälkeen ammatit alkoivat eriytyä ja käsityöläisyydestä tuli ammatti. Teollistuminen hävitti käsityöläisyyttä, mutta se säilyi korjaavissa ja huoltavissa sekä asiakkaille yksilöllisiä töitä tekevissä ammateissa. Moni käsityöammatti on muuntunut harrastukseksi. Background Strong associations have been demonstrated between the American Heart Association’s cardiovascular health (CVH) metrics and various cardiovascular outcomes, but the association with sudden cardiac death (SCD) is uncertain. We examined the associations between these CVH metrics and the risks of SCD and all-cause mortality among men in Finland. Methods and results We used the prospective population-based Kuopio Ischaemic Heart Disease cohort study, which consists of men between 42 and 60 years of age at baseline. The present study focused on examining the effects of knowledge of performance (KP) on motor skill performance and learning within the context of precision rifle shooting. KP was based on the on-target trajectory of the alignment of the rifle, accompanied by visual or auditory feedback. In this dissertation, the dynamics between leader and follower is the focus. This dissertation contributes to knowledge and understanding of the leader-member exchange (LMX) theory in Chinese organizational settings. The research has three aims. The first aim is to increase knowledge of the LMX theory by contextualizing the theory in the Chinese setting. Drawing upon discussion of the role of guanxi, Chinese social values is elaborated in LMX.
