W niniejszym tekście zaprezentowano wybrane problemy dotyczące dzieci imigrantów. Podstawę stanowiły badania prowadzone wśród dzieci polskich imigrantów w Norwegii. Objęto nimi rodziny pochodzące z jednego regionu, a mianowicie z województwa opolskiego. Miały one na celu ukazanie procesu przystosowania się dzieci do nowego środowiska szkolnego. Ważnym problemem było przygotowanie się do wyjazdu dzieci i ich rodzin, łącznie z nauką języka, rozpoznaniem specyfiki kraju migracji, istotny był również początkowy okres pobytu w kraju przyjmującym. Pokazano, jak na proces adaptacji dzieci w nowej rzeczywistości miały wpływ sposoby odnoszenia się do nich rówieśników i innych reprezentantów nowego k…
Migrantki jako kreatorki własnego życia

Celem prezentowanego tekstu było zbadanie kobiet migrantek w aspekcie ich otwartości na nowe doświadczenia. Wyniki badań wykazały, że badane kobiety przed decyzją o wyjeździe charakteryzowało myślenie produktywne generowane przez nowe dla nich, często dramatyczne sytuacje życiowe (brak pracy, jej utrata, zadłużenie itp.,). Tego typu sytuacje stały się podstawą do podjęcia ryzyka reakcji nietypowych mogących przynieść użyteczne efekty. Sam pobyt migracyjny przyczynił się do zmiany myślenia o świecie, zmiany przekonań, budowania na nowo ról szczególnie w obszarze rodzinno-zawodowym. 'The Ideological Framework of the French Nouvelle Droite and the Contemporary Finnish Far Right'

This article deals with the xenophobic discourse of contemporary Finnish anti-immigrationists, namely the anti-immigration faction of the Perussuomalaiset party and its 'metapolitical' background organisation - Suomen Sisu. It focuses on two main themes - differentialism and anti-egalitarianism - as they have been conceptualised by the French Nouvelle Droite (ND) and the European New Right. Because these themes have been used to serve a variety of anti-immigration movements and parties within Europe, the article examines whether the selective reception of differentialism and anti-egalitarianism have a part to play in the xenophobic discourse within Finnish politics as well. The aim of this course is to introduce students to the relationship between demographic change, economic growth, and human well-being. Nothing is more fundamental to our experience whether as individuals, as family members and in society, as death, birth, and our physical place in the world. While those basic features of human life have remained a constant feature of our existence, the nature of the economic and social forces that determine the character of these interactions have changed considerably over time. Upper Caraş River (Danube watershed) fish populations fragmentation – technical rehabilitation proposal

Abstract We propose a technical solution for fish movement based on the flow of water over a spill threshold. Such barriers are common in the Danube system. The proposed system has a range of operating components which are easily detachable from the spill threshold, are resistant to corrosion and will not harm the fish. In fact, if designed to complement swimming abilities of target fish, it should provide adequate passage for both adults and juveniles. If implemented correctly, the design may offer a solution to help displaced fish recolonize upstream habitats.
