Topographical geometric factors governing the biological activities of methomyl derivatives on binding receptors of maize mitochondria
1986
Abstract The topographical study of the binding receptors of T and N mitochondria was undertaken with methomyl derivatives acting as molecular probes. The two biological activities related to topography and geometric isomerism are distinguishable from the receptor sites of T and N mitochondria.

L'impact du mercure sur les bactéries telluriques
1999
Les polluants toxiques, tels que le mercure, affectent largement les ecosystemes aquatiques, mais aussi les sols. Comment les bacteries telluriques reagissent-elles ?
Grapes: a method and a SAS program for graphical representations of assessor performances
1994
GRAPES computes individual and global analyses of variance for sensory profiling data, consisting of several sessions in which all the panelists gave scores to all the products for a number of attributes. The fitted model takes into account the session effect. GRAPES summarizes the results by means of graphical assessor scatterplots which allow to check and to compare panelist performances, such as the way of using scale, the reliability, the discrimination power and the agreement with the panel. In addition, GRAPES detects the outliers for each of these criterion. The usefulness of GRAPES for the panel leader will be demonstrated using texture and flavor profiling of 4 restructured steaks …
Volatile compounds produced by the ligninolytic fungus Phlebia radiata Fr. (Basidiomycetes) and influence of the strain specificity on the odorous pr…
1989
Abstract The odorous volatile compounds produced by 3 strains (out of 25 strains tested) of Phlebia radiata Fr. were investigated on six synthetic media and identified by GC-MS analysis. One of the 3 strains was odourless. Aromatic primary alcohols and a sesquiterpenic alcohol, α-bisabolol, were the most abundant metabolites for both of the other strains, which exhibited similar flavours and a similar gas chromatographic profile.
Positron Emission Tomography Imaging of Neurotensin Receptor-Positive Tumors with 68 Ga-Labeled Antagonists: The Chelate Makes the Difference Again
2021
Neurotensin receptor 1 (NTS1) is involved in the development and progression of numerous cancers, which makes it an interesting target for the development of diagnostic and therapeutic agents. A small molecule NTS1 antagonist, named [177Lu]Lu-IPN01087, is currently evaluated in phase I/II clinical trials for the targeted therapy of neurotensin receptor-positive cancers. In this study, we synthesized seven compounds based on the structure of NTS1 antagonists, bearing different chelating agents, and radiolabeled them with gallium-68 for PET imaging. These compounds were evaluated in vitro and in vivo in mice bearing a HT-29 xenograft. The compound [68Ga]Ga-bisNODAGA-16 showed a promising biod…
Effect of Combined Physical Stresses on Cells: The Role of Water
2010
International audience; The role of water in microorganism viability was assessed through the application of combined physical perturbations. The combination of different physical parameters could allow to balance the properties variations (especially water related) resulting from the increase of one parameter alone. Thus, it is possible to optimize the survival of cells in controlling these parameters. This was tested through two different examples. The first example shows that combination of osmotic level and temperature can allow optimizing yeast cell survival in following membrane fluidity variation. Moreover this analysis has allowed a better comprehension of cell inactivation during r…
Isolation and characterisation of new Gram-negative and Gram-positive atrazine degrading bacteria from different French soils
2001
The capacity of 12 soils to degrade atrazine was studied in laboratory incubations using radiolabelled atrazine. Eight soils showed enhanced degradation of this compound. Twenty-five bacterial strains able to degrade atrazine were isolated by an enrichment method from 10 of these soils. These soils were chosen for their wide range of physico-chemical characteristics. Their history of treatment with atrazine was also variable. The genetic diversity of atrazine degraders was determined by amplified ribosomal restriction analysis (ARDRA) of the 16S rDNA gene with three restriction endonucleases. The 25 bacterial strains were grouped into five ARDRA types. By sequencing and aligning the 16S rDN…
Eating chocolate, smelling perfume or watching video advertisement: Does it make any difference on emotional states measured at home using facial exp…
2019
Type d'article : méthodologie, recherche et revue.; International audience; The recording of facial expressions allows for implicit measurement of emotional states over time. The present study investigated whether these recordings can be acquired, using computer webcams, when testing products at home. Three types of product spaces (chocolates, perfumes and video advertisements) were evaluated at home by 44 subjects using a facial expression measurement protocol. Each product space was composed of three products. The first objective examined the feasibility of such a home-based protocol. The second objective investigated whether several products in the same product space could be characteriz…
