Tutkimuksessa perehdyttiin lineaarisuuteen ja vertikaalisuuteen Terry Rileyn sävellyksessä In C. Lineaarisuus ja vertikaalisuus ovat temporaalisuuden eri muotoja. Terry Rileyn In C on amerikkalaisen minimalistisen musiikin klassikkoteos, jonka temporaalisuutta ei ole aiemmin tutkittu. Mentre le pseudorelative sono diffuse pressoché in tutta la Romània, con qualche variazione parametrica minore, i gerundi predicativi e gli infiniti preposizionali sono usati solo in alcune varietà. Negli studi linguistici sull'argomento è mancata finora l'ottica comparativa, sia tra varietà diverse, sia tra costrutti predicativi diversi. La memoria presenta i risultati di uno studio condotto sul minimalismo tra architettura e musica realizzato in occasione di un ciclo di concerti eseguiti presso l'Aula Magna della Facoltà di Economia. Vengono presentati alcuni esempi di architettura minimale di architetti come Tadao Ando, E. G Asplund e molti altri, rapportati ad alcuni brani di musica minimale di P. Glass e J.P. Sculthorpe.

Abstract Psycholinguistic theorising has long been shaped by the assumption that the processing system endeavours to minimise structures/relations during online comprehension. Minimalism is a user-centered, contextual and goal-oriented approach to technical communication originally developed by John M. Carroll (1990). In minimalism, the aim is to produce user documentation that focuses on the user’s needs, helps the user recover from error situations, and strengthens the user’s skills in working with the system (Carroll & van der Meij 1995: 245).
