Il saggio delinea i percorsi creativi di Philip Glass a partire dall'inizio dalla fine degli anni Sessanta, con particolare riferimento alle opere o spettacoli di teatro musicale. Nella seconda parte vengono descritti l'eperienza biografica e artistica di Beni Montresor, nonché la genesi e i caratteri musicali dell'opera in due atti "The Witches of Venice" (Le Streghe di Venezia, 1994-2009), presentata al Teatro Massimo di Palermo nella versione che include anche i testi di Vincenzo Cerami.

La memoria presenta i risultati di uno studio condotto sul minimalismo tra architettura e musica realizzato in occasione di un ciclo di concerti eseguiti presso l'Aula Magna della Facoltà di Economia. Vengono presentati alcuni esempi di architettura minimale di architetti come Tadao Ando, E. G Asplund e molti altri, rapportati ad alcuni brani di musica minimale di P. Glass e J.P. Sculthorpe.

Automatic natural language processing captures a lion’s share of the attention in open information management. In one way or another, many applications have to deal with natural language input. In this chapter the authors investigate the problem of natural language parsing from the perspective of biolinguistics. They argue that the human mind succeeds in the parsing task without the help of languagespecific rules of parsing and language-specific rules of grammar. Abstract Psycholinguistic theorising has long been shaped by the assumption that the processing system endeavours to minimise structures/relations during online comprehension. Within the scope of a recent cross-linguistic, neurocognitive model of sentence comprehension (Bornkessel and Schlesewsky, 2006), we also proposed that the assumption of a very general ‘Minimality’ principle can account for a variety of psycholinguistic findings from a range of languages. Cottone e Indelicato si laureano in Architettura a Palermo e proseguono la loro formazione-professione all’estero (presso David Chipperfield e RCR). Sicuramente, come afferma Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi, rappresentano uno degli Studi più interessanti nel panorama siciliano. Anche perché i due eccellono nella progettazione di arredi, quale completamento naturale delle loro opere architettoniche, secondo la tradizione del design degli architetti italiani. Il loro modus operandi è semplice, chiaro, minimale.

The present chapter examines Creed’s early career, particularly the artistic connection to his hometown as well as his peculiar conception of creativeness, for which Douglas Gordon emerges as an influential point of reference.
