During the late Qing dynasty, a profound social and cultural transformation was promoted in China by an élite group of intellectuals, inspired by the works of for- eign thinkers and scholars. In this context, the contribution of the Protestant Gil- bert Reid (1857-1927) – and his Mission among the Higher Classes in China, which later become the International Institute of Shanghai – went far beyond mere proselytism, promoting the intercultural dialogue as a basis for China’s progress. Jaunie misionāri Latvijā. Antropoloģisks pētījums par mormoņu sievietēm misionārēm

Došanās misijā, lai kalpotu Dievam, ir sākotnējā mormoņu dzīves sastāvdaļa. Misionāri piedzīvo kaut ko ārkārtēju un dziļu ārpus savas komforta zonas, prom no dzimtenes un pilnīgi jaunā kultūras un sociālā kontekstā. Apmaiņā viņi piedzīvo garīgo attīstību, kā arī personisko attīstību. Misionāriem dalību misijā ar visām tās īpašībām var uzskatīt par notikumu pieauguša cilvēka procesā. Misijas laikā tiek ietekmēti dažādi pieaugušā vecuma aspekti. Šajā promocijas darbā esmu pētījusi mormoņu misionāru dzīvi Latvijā, lai pārbaudītu misijas ietekmi uz viņu kā indivīdu, kā arī mormoņu ticīgo dzīvi.
Działalność Zgromadzenia Misjonarzy Świętej Rodziny w Wieluniu

W nowej rzeczywistości po odzyskaniu przez Polskę niepodległości zostały podjęte przez władze Zgromadzenia Misjonarzy Świętej Rodziny działania mające na celu utworzenie domu zakonnego w Wieluniu. Nastąpiło to po aprobacie bpa Stanisława Zdzitowieckiego w 1920 r. W kolejnym roku doszło do przejęcia przez zakon dawnego klasztoru poaugustiańskiego w Wieluniu. Wkrótce nastąpił rozwój duszpasterstwa i rozpoczęły się prace remontowe średniowiecznego klasztoru. Szczególny nacisk misjonarze położyli na katechizację, głoszenie misji i odprawianie nabożeństw. Równolegle doszło do powołania nowicjatu zakonnego i szkoły misyjnej – ośmioletniego gimnazjum męskiego, do którego uczęszczali uczniowie poch…
