Current studies underline that vehicle emissions are highly linked to modal vehicle activity and a modal approach to traffic-related air quality modeling is suitable to estimate mobile source contribution to air quality. Background: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques provided evidences into the understanding of cognitive impairment (CIm) in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Objectives: To investigate the role of white matter (WM) and gray matter (GM) in predicting long-term CIm in a cohort of MS patients. Methods: 303 out of 597 patients participating in a previous multicenter clinical-MRI study were enrolled (49.4% were lost at follow-up). Diploid modal numbers of chromosomes 2n=48 forHippocampus ramulosus and 2n=44 forH. hippocampus, collected in the Gulf of Palermo in May 1985, are established. No sex-linked heteromorphic pairs are observed in the two species analyzed. The karyotype ofH. hippocampus seems to be a derived condition.

Efficient Low-Frequency Modal Analysis of Anechoic Chamber

An efficient method to analyze the electromagnetic field inside rectangular anechoic and semianechoic chambers from 30 to 100 MHz is shown. A modal expansion is employed to develop the homogeneous and the inhomogeneous field. This is combined with circuital techniques to compute the effect of the layers of ferrite and dielectrics in the walls of the chamber. Several numerical results of the Free Space Transmission Loss (FSTL) of an anechoic chamber and the Normalized Site Attenuation (NSA) of a semianechoic chamber are provided.
Impact of repeating somatic cues on the depth of experiencing for withdrawers and pursuers in emotionally focused couple therapy

Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, an experiential modality, views emotion central to therapeutic change. In this exploratory study, we examined therapists' repetition of somatically focused interventions (therapist verbalizing somatic cues, such as facial expressions) and their impact on clients' emotional experiencing in-session. We also assessed difference for withdrawing versus pursuing partners. The sample included 13 EFT therapists who worked with one couple each for a single session. From transcripts we coded therapists' repetition of somatically focused interventions and clients' depth of experiencing pre-and post-intervention. The function of olfactory experience in reasoning : An empirical study

This study reports the role of olfactory experience (i. e. smell of medication) in a nine-year old girl’s reasoning in pair-work situation where the children were asked to choose items useful on a desert island. The extract analysed here is part of the larger data set of my dissertation, in which I investigate how sensory-motor activities involved in reasoning. I video-recorded an experimental task, in which the participants (N=27; age=9; Hungarian L1) have been asked to choose 7 items out of 14 to take those to an imaginary uninhabited island.
