ADI schemes for valuing European options under the Bates model

This paper is concerned with the adaptation of alternating direction implicit (ADI) time discretization schemes for the numerical solution of partial integro-differential equations (PIDEs) with application to the Bates model in finance. Three different adaptations are formulated and their (von Neumann) stability is analyzed. Ample numerical experiments are provided for the Bates PIDE, illustrating the actual stability and convergence behaviour of the three adaptations. peerReviewed
Measuring the perceived value of rural tourism: a field survey in the western Sicilian agritourism sector

Rural tourism constitutes a valuable tool for the sustainable development of many rural areas. This paper examines the concept of perceived value in rural tourism. A quantitative field survey was carried out in some main Western Sicilian holiday farms (agritourisms) during the Spring 2014. A theoretical model of the tourists’ perceived value in this specific context was developed and validated, using a 22-item scale. Structural Parameters under Partial Least Squares and Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling : A Comment on Yuan and Deng (2021)

In their article, Yuan and Deng argue that a structural parameter under partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) is zero if and only if the same structural parameter is zero under covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM). Yuan and Deng then conclude that statistical tests on individual structural parameters assessing the null hypothesis of no effect can achieve the same purpose in CB-SEM and PLS-SEM. The purpose of this paper is to present some fixed point theorems for T -weakly isotone increasing mappings which satisfy a generalized nonlinear contractive condition in complete ordered metric spaces. As application, we establish an existence theorem for a solution of some integral equations.

Long-lived particles are predicted in many extensions of the Standard Model but the experimental detection is very challenging because they decay out of the first trackers and usually scape to the trigger decisions. In this work we review several new physics models and summarize the experimental status concerning the related searches. This paper proposes a novel actuation system for an offshore drilling application. It consists of three self-contained electro-hydraulic cylinders that can share and store regenerated energy. The energy saving potential of the proposed solution is analyzed through a multibody system simulation. Objective Synthesizing research on social cognitive theories applied to health behavior is an important step in the development of an evidence base of psychological factors as targets for effective behavioral interventions. However, few meta-analyses of research on social cognitive theories in health contexts have conducted simultaneous tests of theoretically-stipulated pattern effects using path analysis.
