Providing efficient distribution systems for services on the last mile has become a challenging issue for logistics companies, where a trade-off between the classical approaches, attended home delivery (AHD) and usage of shared delivery locations (SDLs) has been identified. One of the major sources of inefficiency is the incomplete usage of available resources, such as vehicles’ capacities. Unlocking behaviors of long-term service consumers : the role of action inertia

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the antecedents of word-of-mouth (WOM) in long-term service settings. Specifically, the authors examine the moderating role of action inertia in the relationships between satisfaction and repatronage intention, satisfaction and WOM, and repatronage intention and WOM. This paper presents PMG-pro (present, model, generate and provide), a development method of service-based applications. With PMG-pro, the composition of heterogeneous pre-made services is done at model levels and thereby different executable software systems for different target platforms can be generated automatically. Collaboration and resource sharing have attracted a great interest among companies. Our contribution relates to this context, providing a decision-making support for companies. We propose a platform to facilitate resource sharing between collaborative companies, through a recommendation system. This system provides similar services that respond to a company’s needs.
