Tutkielman aiheena on suomalaisten puurakenteisten valmistalojen arkkitehtuuri ja kehitys 1980-luvulta 2000-luvulle. Koska aihetta ei ole tutkittu, tutkielman tavoitteena on saada ilmiöstä kokonaiskuva. Valmistalot ovat näkyvä osa suomalaista rakennettua ympäristöä, sillä teollisesti tuotetuista omakotitaloista tuli tutkittavana ajanjaksona suosituin omakotirakentamisen muoto. Tutkimusaineistoon kuuluu 45 talokuvastoa puutaloteollisuuden eri toimijoilta sekä kolme toimitettua talo-opasta. Tutkielma edustaa laadullista tutkimusta ja pyrkii ilmiön kokonaisvaltaiseen ymmärtämiseen. The articles presented in this cluster discuss literary and visual impressions from the premise that literary impressionism and printmaking share the trope of impression as “impress” and as “imprints” in a technical and epistemological sense. Most works on Impressionism and literary impressionism dwell on the genealogy and mutual influence of fiction and painting, but few authors tackle the importance of printmaking. In recent decades, the theory of non-places has gained a wide recognition and esteem in the global journals. It is originally oriented to discuss the negative effects of postmodernism or hyper-mobilities in the real world. It was coined by French ethnologist Marc Auge. Although illustrative and pungent, Auge's argument should be seriously revisited. To what an extent a place can be called a non-place?, what are the specific condition for the non-places production? La importancia social del automóvil y como consecuencia de todo lo que le rodeaba, hicieron que los garajes se convirtieran en edificaciones independientes, con una tipología específica y donde se reflejaban las características de la arquitectura modernista y regionalista que se sucedieron en la Valencia de la época. Una muestra de la importancia de los garajes es la autoría de las edificaciones, a cargo de los arquitectos y maestros de obra con más renombre de la ciudad , como D. Francisco Almenar, D. Demetrio Ribes o D. José Peris.
