Two-current correlations in the pion in the Nambu and Jona-Lasinio model

We present an analysis of two-current correlations for the pion in the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model, with Pauli--Villars regularization. We provide explicit expressions in momentum space for two-current correlations corresponding to the zeroth component of the vector Dirac bilinear in the quark vertices, which has been evaluated on the lattice. The numerical results show a remarkable qualitative agreement with recent lattice data. The factorization approximation into one-body currents is discussed.

New method for determining the quark-gluon vertex

We present a novel nonperturbative approach for calculating the form factors of the quark-gluon vertex, in a general covariant gauge. The key ingredient of this method is the exact all-order relation connecting the conventional quark-gluon vertex with the corresponding vertex of the background field method, which is Abelian-like. When this latter relation is combined with the standard gauge technique, supplemented by a crucial set of transverse Ward identities, it allows the approximate determination of the nonperturbative behavior of all twelve form factors comprising the quark-gluon vertex, for arbitrary values of the momenta. HQE parameters from unquenched lattice data on pseudoscalar and vector heavy-light meson masses

We present a new lattice determination of some of the parameters appearing both in the Operator Product Expansion (OPE) analysis of the inclusive semileptonic $B$-meson decays and in the Heavy Quark Expansion (HQE) of the pseudoscalar (PS) and vector (V) heavy-light meson masses. We perform a lattice QCD (LQCD) computation of PS and V heavy-light meson masses for heavy-quark masses $m_h$ in the range from $m_c^{\rm phys}$ to $\simeq 4m_b^{\rm phys}$. We employed the $N_f = 2+1+1$ gauge configurations of the European Twisted Mass Collaboration (ETMC) at three values of the lattice spacing $a \simeq (0.062, 0.082, 0.089)$ fm with pion masses in the range $M_\pi \simeq (210 - 450)$ MeV. The C-terminal region of the Hot1 transcription factor binds GGGACAAA-related sequences in the promoter of its target genes

Response to hyperosmotic stress in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae involves the participation of the general stress response mediated by Msn2/4 transcription factors and the HOG pathway. One of the transcription factors activated through this pathway is Hot1, which contributes to the control of the expression of several genes involved in glycerol synthesis and flux, or in other functions related to adaptation to adverse conditions. This work provides new data about the interaction mechanism of this transcription factor with DNA. W artykule przedstawiono doświadczenia Biblioteki Głównej Uniwersytetu Opolskiego w tworzeniu instytucjonalnego repozytorium opartego na wcześniej funkcjonującym systemie ewidencji publikacji. Lokalnie gromadzone dane o publikacjach przekazywane są następnie, na podstawie obowiązujących aktów normatywnych regulujących System Informacji o Nauce, do ministerialnych systemów teleinformatycznych. W tekście omówiono również problemy związane z gromadzeniem i przekazywaniem danych o publikacjach do Modułu Sprawozdawczego Polskiej Bibliografii Naukowej, jednego z modułów Zintegrowanego Systemu Informacji o Nauce i Szkolnictwie Wyższym.

Module categories of finite Hopf algebroids, and self-duality

International audience; We characterize the module categories of suitably finite Hopf algebroids (more precisely, $X_R$-bialgebras in the sense of Takeuchi (1977) that are Hopf and finite in the sense of a work by the author (2000)) as those $k$-linear abelian monoidal categories that are module categories of some algebra, and admit dual objects for "sufficiently many" of their objects. Then we proceed to show that in many situations the Hopf algebroid can be chosen to be self-dual, in a sense to be made precise. This generalizes a result of Pfeiffer for pivotal fusion categories and the weak Hopf algebras associated to them.

CLIL modules and their affective impact on students with high English anxiety and low self-efficacy

Many studies in recent years focused on the efficiency of bilingual education in different school settings. If a school pursues a regular implementation of CLIL modules instead of the establishment of proper CLIL streams, the student group that is affected by this teaching approach is much more diverse when compared to the preselected CLIL stream groups. The Kontsevich deformation quantization combines Poisson dynamics, noncommutative geometry, number theory, and calculus of oriented graphs. To manage the algebra and differential calculus of series of weighted graphs, we present software modules: these allow generating the Kontsevich graphs, expanding the noncommutative & x22c6;-product by using a priori undetermined coefficients, and deriving linear relations between the weights of graphs. An improved five-parameter model for photovoltaic modules

This paper presents a new five-parameter model capable of analytically describing the I–V characteristic of a photovoltaic module for each generic condition of operative temperature and solar irradiance. The parameters of the equivalent electrical circuit are extracted by solving a system of equations based on data commonly issued by manufacturers in standard rating conditions with a trial and error process. The partial shading phenomenon is a well known problem of photovoltaic plants.
