L’articolo descrive un progetto per il concorso di “Riqualificazione urbana di Mondello”, luogo di balneazione nella città di Palermo. Il progetto di riqualificazione che nasce dall’idea che il waterfront possa costituire un punto d’incontro tra città e mare, articola diversi spazi della città, dall’isolato di Valdesi alla passeggiata a mare fino alla piazza di Mondello. L’intervento progettuale, che stabilisce un corretto rapporto tra architettura e preesistenza, si basa su un profondo senso della misura, intendendo con questo termine la capacità di dosare il gesto architettonico rispetto alle condizioni di contorno che sono assunte come prioritarie nell’intervento.

A small collection of ammonoids from the Upper Triassic Scillato Formation at Pizzo Mondello (Agrigento, Sicily) is studied. The specimens were collected in a framework of a project aimed at providing an integrated high-resolution bio-chronostratigraphic support to the Upper Carnian-Norian magnetostratigraphic scale defined at this site, that is located in an historical area from which G.G. Gemmellaro collected the Upper Triassic of ammonoids monographed at the beginning of the XX century. The conception of ethics in the sector of assistance to the most deprived and particularly vulnerable people is modelled on medical ethics. It is first and foremost a professional code of ethics developed for social workers. It thus obscures the ethical dimension of people who are marked by differences related to disabilities and precariousness and are in a situation of being helped.
