Kirja Huhut, unet, sodomiitit, moraalinvartijat, elämäkerrat,puhuttelusanat ja ammattinimikkeet koostuu teoreettisista artikkeleista ja tutkielmista, joiden käsittelemät aikakaudet ulottuvat keskiajalta aina itsenäisyyden murrosvaiheisiin. Teemaa lähestytään yksilön ja yhteiskunnan välisten suhteiden ilmentymänä. Artlkkelit edustavat kunkin kirjoittajan tutkimussuuntausta. Näin ollen kyseessä on teos, jossa esitetään myös uusimman historiantutkimuksen tuloksia. Kirjoittajat ovat historiantutkijoita ja Jyväskylän maakunta-arkiston henkilökuntaa.

Resumen: El presente trabajo pretende indagar y analizar las fuentes de significado de las diferentes referencias morales contenidas en las constituciones. El trabajo, así, envolverá varias posibles interpretaciones o “lecturas” acerca de tales fuentes de significado. Por ejemplo, se analizará una lectura intencional, una lectura literal, una lectura moral, una lectura pragmática. Todas ellas consecuentes con los tipos de interpretación más usuales en la literatura iusfilosófica actual. Leadership Styles and the Moral Choice of Internal Auditors

Internal auditors’ performance largely depends on their moral decisions when faced with ethical dilemmas. This study explores the impacts of different leadership styles on internal auditors’ moral choice using ERG theory and Path-goal theory. The findings of the survey demonstrated support for both theories. Regression analysis revealed that a sample of West Australian internal auditors were motivated by growth needs and the motivation was enhanced if the leader took a Standard-achievement-oriented approach. Between-group competition and human cooperation.

A distinctive feature of human behaviour is the widespread occurrence of cooperation among unrelated individuals. Explaining the maintenance of costly within-group cooperation is a challenge because the incentive to free ride on the efforts of other group members is expected to lead to decay of cooperation. However, the costs of cooperation can be diminished or overcome when there is competition at a higher level of organizational hierarchy. Here we show that competition between groups resolves the paradigmatic ‘public goods’ social dilemma and increases within-group cooperation and overall productivity. W artykule poruszono kwestie dotyczące stosowania przemocy wobec osób starszych. Zjawisko to staje się jednym z głównych problemów społecznych, z którymi muszą zmierzyć się m.in. pracownicy socjalni oraz specjaliści z zakresu pedagogiki (w tym gerontopedagogiki), socjologii, a także przedstawiciele służb pomocowych. Jak wynika z analizy danych statystycznych oraz wyników badań naukowych, skala stosowania przemocy stale się pogłębia. W opracowaniu zaprezentowano przegląd badań dotyczących skali i determinantów stosowania przemocy wobec seniorów oraz koncepcje wycofania moralnego jako jednego z czynników wywołujących zachowania przemocowe.
