The article aims to place Giuseppe Cantillo’s studies collected in his latest two books, focused respectively on Hegel and dialectics and Jaspers and existence, in the overall research itinerary of the Italian philosopher. The paper seeks to highlight the coherence and conceptual openness of Cantillo’s investigation of history, the human being’s existential conditions, as well as of its theological implications. This meditation is characterized, on the one hand, by the anchorage to the transcendental dimension of thought and, on the other hand, by the adherence to the concreteness of history. Life satisfaction and tax morale: The role of trust in government and cultural orientation

Taxes are essential for a government to function correctly, because they fund public services and promote long-term growth in a country. Tax morale is a positive attitude toward taxation shaped by extrinsic and intrinsic motivations, including numerous psychological factors. However, these factors are far from completely clear and a better understanding of what drives tax morale can greatly help governments in the design of tax policies and their administration. In this paper we test the novel hypothesis that life satisfaction is one of the psychological aspects affecting tax morale. This article proposes an ethical reinterpretation of Dardot and Laval's analyses of the concept of the "commune", published in 2014. The circulation of ethical arguments and the activation of a line of thought related to public ethics can indeed contribute to finding an answer to some objections moved to the proposal of the commune. This is the intention of my contribution, which focuses in particular on the question of the subjectivity implied, or rather evoked by the theoretical-political proposal of the French thinkers.
