To achieve that the students understand the mathematics and its physical interpretation is the objective we should get as docents. Mediterranean bioconstructions along the Italian coast

Marine bioconstructions are biodiversity-rich, three-dimensional biogenic structures, regulating key ecological functions of benthic ecosystems worldwide. Tropical coral reefs are outstanding for their beauty, diversity and complexity, but analogous types of bioconstructions are also present in temperate seas. The main bioconstructions in the Mediterranean Sea are represented by coralligenous formations, vermetid reefs, deep-sea cold-water corals, Lithophyllum byssoides trottoirs, coral banks formed by the shallow-water corals Cladocora caespitosa or Astroides calycularis, and sabellariid or serpulid worm reefs. This paper discusses an alternative way to recycle the biomass fly ash, generated by the kraft pulp industry, to manufacture novel geopolymeric mortars intended for applications in construction. Biomass fly ash was used as a raw material, in partial substitution of the commonly used metakaolin, natural siliceous sand as aggregate. Foram aplicadas escalas de medidas de qualidade de vida profissional, en-frentamento ante a morte, autocuidado profissional e autoconsciência em 161 profissionais. Cork is a unique material, characterized by small closed cell structures, high insulating properties, very low density, high fire resistance and a very good durability after simple thermal treatment. The main use of cork in the production of stopper and insulating panels obtained with cork grains and a polymeric resin. Usually cork grains used in panel production have a grainsize around 1-2 mm. In this work cork grains have been used as aggregates for natural hydraulic lime mortars by reducing grainsize distribution. The German CPU Registry: Dyspnea independently predicts negative short-term outcome in patients admitted to German Chest Pain Units.

While dyspnea is a common symptom in patients admitted to Chest Pain Units (CPUs) little is known about the impact of dyspnea on their outcome. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of dyspnea on the short-term outcome of CPU patients.We analyzed data from a total of 9169 patients admitted to one of the 38 participating CPUs in this registry between December 2008 and January 2013. Only patients who underwent coronary angiography for suspected ACS were included. 2601 patients (28.4%) presented with dyspnea.Patients with dyspnea at admission were older and frequently had a wide range of comorbidities compared to patients without dyspnea.
