The purpose of the study is to explore physical education (PE) students’ social and emotional learning (SEL) and the meaningful learning experiences during the SEL course. In the teaching profession, understanding SEL is important because the guidance of learning and group dynamics is essentially an interactive social process. Further, previous research shows that focusing on socioemotional skills promotes students’ academic achievement. Teachers’ SEL skills can be developed by training. The Industry Hothousing variant of CPS in its adult format is an intensive, time-constrained workshop based process designed to build mutual trust between customers and industry experts in order to synergically develop creative solutions together. Traces of the past: an interview study with Finnish war children who did not return to Finland after the Second World War

ABSTRACTThis paper is an in-depth qualitative study based on interviews with 10 Finnish children who were evacuated to Sweden during Second World War and who did not return to Finland after the war. The interviewees were asked to tell about their lives. Nine of them were between 2 and 5 years and one was 7 years old at the time of evacuation. The aim was to study how their childhood experiences were reflected in adult memories, how they remembered or did not remember. Adaptētas galda spēles angļu valodas vārda krājuma apguvei 10. klasē

Vārda krājuma bagātināšana ir viens no pamatuzdevumiem komunikatīvu prasmju attīstībai svešvalodā. Skolēniem var rasties grūtības angļu valodas vārdu izmantošanā runā un rakstos, un dažiem no viņiem trūkst motivācijas mācīties jaunus vārdus. Lai pārbaudītu, kā adaptētas galda spēles var veicināt angļu valodas vārda krājuma apguvi, tika veikts gadījuma pētījums. Pēc nodarbību cikla ar adaptēto galda spēļu izmantošanu tika veikta skolēnu zināšanu pārbaude. Kontroldarba rezultāti parādīja, ka mācīšanās ar adaptētu galda spēļu palīdzību veicināja augstu vārdu atpazīšanas un kontrolētas izmantošanas līmeni.
