Artikkelissa kysytään, miten lasten kotihoidosta ja sen tukemisesta keskustellaan paikallisesti. Kun-nat tuottavat lasten kotihoidon merkityksellistämiselle erityisen kontekstin. Kunnat vastaavat niin varhaiskasvatuspalvelujen järjestämisestä kuin lasten kotihoidon tuen rahoittamisesta kuitenkin niin, että oikeus kotihoidon tukeen syntyy palveluun kytkeytyvän oikeuden käyttämättä jättämisestä. The new plan (opptrappingsplanen for rusfeltet) was launched in 2016 and will be completed in 2020. Again, as in previous efforts, it is the municipal health services that are going to do the job. Legitimation strategies in the environmental reports of Finnish townsThis paper focuses on the legitimation strategies used in the environmental reports of the five biggest towns in Finland. The data consist of environmental reports published by Helsinki, Tampere, Espoo, Vantaa and Oulu. The results of the content analysis show that the towns use strategies whose purpose is to modify the public’s perception of the organization in a positive direction. The purpose of this study is to increase critical knowledge of the legitimation strategies in environment reports.

Suomen hallitus ja yritysmaailma tunnistavat kielitaitotarpeen. Kielten opiskelun suosio on kuitenkin laskenut vuosien ajan. Kielikoulutusta koskevan päätöksenteon hajautuessa yksittäisillä kunnilla ja päättäjillä on entistä laajemmat mahdollisuudet järjestää kielten opetusta paikallisesti tahtonsa mukaan. This paper focuses on the influence of two classical drivers of population agglomeration: geography and history. Geography is identified by two co-ordinates: coastal position and altitude. The prominence of history is also captured by two characteristics: the initial size of the municipalities, and their status as the administrative centre of the area. In first instance we examine localization patterns, at a small geographical scale, according to these characteristics and present empirical evidence of the progressive population concentration along the coast, on the plains and in the regional (provincial) capitals; a process that has not finished in the present days. La presente investigación tiene como finalidad describir cómo la ciudadanía ha contribuido a la elaboración de un Diagnóstico Territorial de Empleo (DET) promovido por la Generalitat Valenciana, previo al diseño de futuras políticas públicas para el fomento del empleo, en tres municipios alicantinos. Se consiguió a través de una Investigación-Acción-Participación (IAP). Se realizaron talleres participativos y grupos focales que sirvieron para que la ciudadanía conociese de la existencia del proyecto y sus fines, además de aportar su experiencia, opinión y plantear posibles soluciones a la problemática del empleo en estos municipios.
