Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa kuvataan Kelan vaikeavammaisten lääkinnällisen kuntoutuksen palveluntuottajana toimivien musiikkiterapeuttien toimintaa ja sijoittumista yhteiskunnan kuntoutuspalvelujärjestelmään vuosien 2012–2014 välisenä aikana. Lisäksi tutkielmassa tarkastellaan musiikkiterapeuttien kokemuksia kuntoutustyöstä ja yhteistyöstä Kelan ja muiden yhteistyötahojen kanssa. Tutkielma perustuu kyselytutkimukseen, joka toteutettiin syksyllä 2012 mrInterview -ohjelman avulla tehdyn internetkyselyn kautta. Although the fields of music psychology and music therapy share many common interests, research collaboration between the two fields is still somewhat rare. Previous work has identified that disciplinary identities and attitudes towards those in other disciplines are challenges to effective interdisciplinary research. The current study explores such attitudes in music therapy and music psychology. Tässä laadullisessa tutkimuksessa selvitetään suomalaisten musiikkiterapeuttien käsityksiä ammatissa toimivien musiikkiterapeuttien työnohjauksesta ja musiikkiterapeuttien työnohjauksien (professional supervision) käytäntöjä. Assessment in music therapy refers to the process of collecting and analyzing information about a client for planning and implementing necessary therapeutic interventions, and mapping the possible aims and a course of therapy (e.g. Bruscia 1987).
