Ever since jazz began to make an impact in white aesthetic culture in the late 1910s and 1920s, critics, regardless of whether they celebrated or condemned the music, enmeshed their discourse with images of exoticism, noble savageness, and racial brutishness. As Jazz Studies emerged as an academic discipline, scholars have shown increasing interest in exposing these images in order to illustrate the pervading racist sentiment inscribed within white perception of the jazz idiom and also to establish the connections between jazz and the modernist obsession with primitivism. Artikkelen gir ny kunnskap om kristne barnehager som utgjør omkring 4,5 % av norske barnehager. Vi redegjør for lovgrunnlaget og undersøker blant annet ulike livssynsvedtekter og hvordan et utvalg ansatte forstår mandatet sitt, og bidrar til å gjøre verdigrunnlaget og fagområdet etikk, religion og filosofi (ERF) synlig i hverdagen og ved høytidene. En empirisk undersøkelse fra høsten 2019 og våren 2020 utgjør det viktigste empiriske materialet for artikkelen og omfattet 20 ansatte med pedagogisk ansvar i 19 barnehager i Oslo og på Agder. Promocijas darbs sniedz ieskatu latviešu mitoloģijas vizualizācijas vēsturē, analizējot faktorus, kas ietekmējuši vizuālos priekšstatus par mitoloģiskiem tēliem un motīviem. Pētījums ir saistīts ar teksta uzbūves struktūras semantikas jautājumiem, un folkloras teksts ar tajā iekļauto mitoloģisko tēmu tiek skatīts kā dekontekstualizēta verbālā teksta vienība, kas vizuālās mākslas kontekstā ieguvusi jaunu simbolisko nozīmi. The dream of living long and healthy has accompanied man since the beginning of time. The present remarkable increased life expectancy is most probably the result of better living conditions, medical progress, and better health care organization. Dramatic demographic changes occur not only in industrialised countries, but primarily affect the least developed part of the world. This extraordinary success of humanity brings with it many challenges to build a future with healthy seniors. The recently released World report on ageing and health, one of the most important WHO documents in recent years, confirms the crucial importance of the maintenance of functional ability throughout life.
