Wine expertise : the case of "vin de garde" concept. This work aimed to investigate different types of knowledge and skills involved in wine expertise. This work is based on the “vin de garde” concept, we first broadened the study of this concept, and we identified gustatory (astringency and acidity) and olfactory (woody, burnt, vanilla and prune notes) clues used by wine professionals from Bourgogne to judge the aging potential of red wines from Bourgogne. Protecting humans from disasters has been an active mission of governments and experts through the definition of disaster management plans. Defining disaster response strategies is crucial in order to reduce the number of victims and the economic impact. In order to select which response plan is best suited to a specific disaster situation, these plans must be evaluated. However, such evaluation is limited by the high cost of exercises and the specificity of existing simulation models. [EN] The voltammetry of immobilized particles (VIMP) methodology was applied to discriminate the oil painting production of a series of seven painters/workshops that worked in Valencia (Spain) between ca. 1530 and ca. 1650. When submicrosamples used for cross-section FESEM/EDX analysis were attached to graphite electrodes in contact with aqueous acetate buffer, well-defined responses were obtained. The reductive processes of lead pigments (lead white and lead-tin yellow) overlapped those associated to the lead soaps and other species resulting from the pigment-oil binder interaction in the sample. ABSTRACT: In 1535 Emperor Charles V made a triumphant journey to the north of Sicily after the victory of Tunisia. The triumphal entries made in the Sicilian cities featured ceremonial elements which would later be imitated by the other Italian cities that received the Emperor. The Roman-style triumph and the chivalric romances are the main models used in the ephemeral decorations, which would have important consequences in European art of the period.
