Boron-based nanocomposites are very promising for a wide range of technological applications, spanning from microelectronics to nanomedicine. A large variety of B-based nanomaterials has been already observed, such as borospherene, B nanotubes and nanoparticles, and boron nitride nanoparticles. Nanostructures are arising as novel biosensing platforms promising to surpass current performance in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, and affordability of standard approaches. However, for several nanosensors, the material and synthesis used make the industrial transfer of such technologies complex. Elektroniskā deguna izmantošana smaku piesārņojuma noteikšanā

Maģistra darbā pētītas un analizētas iespējas kvalitatīvi un kvantitatīvi identificēt smaku piesārņojumu ar alvas oksīda nanosensoru, kurš izmantots kā galvenais elements elektroniskajā degunā. Sensora testēšana veikta dažādu saimniecisku aktivitāšu vidēs - Rīgas Brīvostas uzņēmumu apkārtnē, Rīgas centrā pie monitoringa stacijām Brīvības ielā un Krišjāņa Valdemāra ielā, dzīvnieku fermās, siera ražošanas uzņēmumā, iekštelpās un relatīvi nepiesārņotā vidē (Kuldīgā). Mērījumu signālu apstrāde veikta dažādiem darbības režīmiem (spriegumiem), datu statistiskā apstrādē iekļauti ietekmējošie meteoroloģiskie parametri.
