Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan kasvatus- ja aikuiskasvatustieteen opiskelijoiden opintopolkuja, sillä aiempaa tutkimusta aiheesta ei ole juuri lainkaan. Tavoitteena on selvittää heidän kokemuksiaan tekijöistä, jotka ovat johtaneet heidät heidän nykyisiin opintoihinsa ja tarkastella miksi he ovat jääneet nykyiselle koulutusalalle. Tutkimuksen aineisto on kerätty kerronnallisen- ja teemahaastattelun keinoin haastattelemalla kuutta kasvatus- ja aikuiskasvatustieteen opiskelijaa opintojen eri vaiheista. The main research problem of this constructive study is, how player’s learning during game playing can be supported through game narrative design. When the solutions are searched within narrative theories, modern game theories, and learning game design research, the problem turns conceptually challenging. Pre-service subject teachers’ personal teacher characterisations after the pedagogical studies

This study explored how five pre-service subject teachers characterised themselves as teachers after completing their year-long pedagogical studies in a Finnish university. Our narrative analysis of the interview data showed that the students shared a social representation of a past teacher characterised by wide power and emotional distance between pupils and the teacher. The students differentiated themselves from this kind of teacher character, and rather positioned themselves as interactive and caring educators identifying with their own ideal teachers as well as meaningful learning experiences in the pedagogical studies. Tarinayhteiskunta luvussa esittelen tarinallistamisen näkökulmasta tärkeiksi katsomiani seikkoja elämyssuunnitteluun, palvelumuotoiluun ja tarinamarkkinoinnin kentältä. Stepmothers in narratives : negotiations on relatedness

This study contributes to the existing stepmother research by focusing on interaction as an aspect of stepmother identity construction. Accordingly, identity is seen as negotiated through interaction with other family members. A narrative approach applied to 58 stories written by Finnish stepmothers yielded three identity types: identity restricted by a biological mother, stepmother-centred identity, and team parenthood identity. The most dominant feature, common to all the stories, was that stepmothers perceived themselves primarily in relation to the children’s biological mothers, a stance that often led them to feel threatened.
