Greek tradition links the death of regent Pausanias of Sparta with ghosts. In this paper, we focus on the well-known episode that revolves around Pausanias himself and a Byzantine maiden and is transmitted by Aristodemus, Plutarch and Pausanias Periegetes. The multiplicity of versions demands a comparative analysis, which we carry out taking into account the three spaces where the narrative action takes place (civic, intimate and ritual spaces). Results indicate a concordance between Plutarch and Pausanias Periegetes, as well as a dissonance between them and Aristodemus. Modern welfare states have increasingly been infused by principles from New Public Management. The implicit managerialism and standardization of these principles reduces the autonomy of professionals and displaces their discretionary power, replacing it with a standardized professional language that reproduces and reinforces specific narratives of knowledge. Based on narratives on six choral conductors’ unfolding careers, the article investigates significant moments in professional trajectories – turning points – and how these shaped ongoing practices. The empirical material comprises interviews with conductors that represent different pre-conducting platforms – musicologist, music therapist, music educator, instrumentalist, singer, and church musician. Bakalaura darba ietvaros tika analizēti un salīdzināti miniprozas un hipertekstu literatūras daiļdarbi – literārās formas, kuras mūsdienās kļūst arvien izplatītākas. Pētījuma mērķis bija atklāt vienojošās un atšķirīgās īpašības, kuras piemīt abu literatūras formu darbiem. Teorētiskā daļa sastāv no trijām nodaļām.
