EMU and Trade Revisited: Long-Run Evidence Using Gravity Equations

In this paper, we present evidence of the long-run effect of the euro on trade for the twelve initial EMU countries for the period 1967–2008 from a double perspective. First, we pool all the bilateral combinations of trade flows among the EMU countries in a panel cointegration gravity specification. Second, we estimate a gravity equation for each of the EMU members vis-a-vis the other eleven partners. We apply panel cointegration techniques based on factor models that account for cross-dependence and structural breaks. El impacto de la política de visados sobre los flujos internacionales de turistas: Un análisis con datos de panel

Using newly panel data on visa restrictions for the years 2000 and 2010 in a theory-grounded gravity model, we find a robust, causal negative impact of visa restrictions on international tourist flows. By destination, the detrimental impact of this type of barrier is observed for tourists going to developing countries (with the exception of East and South Asia), but not for those to developed ones. By country of origin of tourists, the impact of visa restrictions appears to be the same for tourists coming from developed and developing countries. These findings have important consequences in policy terms for tourism management at a regional level.

Szuwar sitowia korzenioczepnego Scirpetum radicantis Hejný in Hejný et Husák 1978 został po raz pierwszy opisany ze strefy litoralu stawów hodowlanych w południowych Czechach. Następnie został stwierdzony w Niemczech, Czechach, Słowacji, Austrii i w Polsce. W Polsce zespół ten należy do bardzo rzadko spotykanych zbiorowisk roślinnych. Dotychczas jego fitocenozy zostały opisane z 5 stanowisk zlokalizowanych na Śląsku. W trakcie badań geobotanicznych prowadzonych na obszarze Słowińskiego Parku Narodowego w latach 2013-2014 stwierdzono 2 nowe jego stanowiska, które zostały zlokalizowane w jeziorze Gardno oraz rzece Łupawa.

Na podstawie analizy przestrzennego rozmieszczenia parków narodowych i obszarów chronionego krajobrazu Polski (parki krajobrazowe), Czech, Słowacji i Węgier oceniono czy tworzone w poszczególnych krajach systemy ochrony przyrody i krajobrazu są reprezentatywne również dla prowincji fizycznogeograficznych w granicach państw. Stwierdzono znaczną reprezentatywność w prowincjach głównie górskich i wskazano na dalsze możliwości ochrony. The main accomplishment of the Property Regimes Regulations lies in their bringing more coherence into the cross-border family law adjudication. In the field of international jurisdiction, they strive to align the competence in couples? patrimony disputes to that in succession and in separation proceedings, or else to align the competence of the courts to the applicable law. This article examines some of the cultural and theological motivations of his ministerial work, based on poems, sermons and documents from his years as a bishop. The article shows how Moe’s aesthetic and pedagogical interests are reflected in this period and how he influenced Norwegian church life through his pupils J. C.
