We used the three latest rounds of the religion module of International Social Survey Programme to study secularization in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, focusing on belief in God. We restricted our sample to the affiliated with the majority Protestant churches and the unaffiliated and analyzed the trends toward disaffiliation and disbelief in God. Then, we studied the association between confidence in churches, religious/secular upbringing, and demographic controls with belief in God using multinomial logistic regression models. This article focuses on the images used over four decades to represent the Cambodian genocide in photography, cinema, visual arts and the media as the basis for analyzing the documentary-memoir directed by Rithy Panh, The Missing Picture. First, there is a paucity of images which depict, evoke or allude to the crimes perpetrated by the Khmer Rouge (1975-1979); second, scholars raise objections about whether any image can adequately depict a catastrophic event such as genocide. Forty years after the military coup that bloodied Chile during the years of military dictatorship, the country is still splitted with a society which is still in a traumatic situation. In this paper we have worked with audio-visual sources, which we call Video Format Documents (VFD), produced from the sixties onwards. This article is based on sources that allow us a deeper understanding of the society in which they were produced; a society −as it is said by a character of one of the most successful films in Chile−, divided into pears and apples.

On vit dans ce qu'Annette Wieviorka nomma 'I'ére du témoin' c'est-d-dire l'état culturel dans lequel celui qui a vécu les événements semble étre Ie plus légitime pour les représenter. L'unalyse de plusieurs documentaires nous permet de penser l'évolution du statut du témoin duns les récits audíovisuels sur la guerre, depuis les années 1970 iusqu'd aujourd'hui.
Evaluation of the Sensory Profiles of Texas High Plains Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon Wines

A trained panel was asked to evaluate the sensory profiles of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon varietal wines from the Texas High Plains American Viticultural Area. The panelists evaluated 20 different wines using a modified conventional descriptive analysis and a modified citation frequency-based method. Our study revealed a significant correlation between both methods in the distribution of wines. The two varietal wines could not be significantly distinguished by their average sensory profiles, although butter, caramel and lavender were significantly stronger in Tempranillo and black currant in Cabernet Sauvignon. El presente artículo es un acercamiento a una de las obras menos recordadas de Edgar Neville, El marqués de Salamanca (1948), dirigida por el cineasta madrileño con motivo del centenario de la primera línea férrea peninsular. En él se incide en la peculiaridad de Neville en el panorama cinematográfico español de posguerra, así como en algunos aspectos de la película que vertebran buena parte de su producción (humor, protagonismo musical, casticismo, etc.). Nuestro análisis hace hincapié en el papel del tren en el filme, así como en determinados juegos con el espectador que subvierten la tradicional transparencia (aparentemente) del modelo clásico, sin abandonarlo.
