This paper presents ConSCIS, Conceptual Space based Cognitive Imitation System, which tightly links low-level data processing with knowledge representation in the context of robot imitation. Our focus is on the program-level imitation: we are interested in the final effects of actions on objects, and not on the particular kinematic or dynamic properties of the motion. The same architecture is used both to analyze and represent the task to be imitated, and to perform the imitation by generalizing in novel and different circumstances. Innocampus Explora: Nuevas formas de comunicar ciencia

[EN] Innocampus Explora aims to show the students of the Burjassot-Paterna campus of the Universitat de València how the different scientific degrees are interrelated. To do this we propose activities in which students and teachers work together to cover the interdisciplinary nature of science, both in everyday and professional issues. Throughout this course the activities developed relate to new ways to communicate science. With the development of this project we contribute to a transversal quality education for all the participating students.

Experiencias de aprendizaje del Derecho del Trabajo a través del cine

[ES] Este artículo analiza la experiencia realizada durante tres años con objeto de complementar la enseñanza del Derecho del trabajo con el uso del cine como material bibiográfico y sus resultados. En la experiencia se propuso una película por cada tema del programa académico de la asignatura de Derecho del trabajo (I) y también de la asignatura Políticas sociolaborales, ocupación e igualdad. Los resultados han sido positivos siendo el material cinemátográfico una ayuda significativa a la comprensión de conceptos complejos y su retención en el tiempo.

Inovacijos yra konkurencingumo pagrindas. Kartu pagrindinis vadovo uždavinys yra savininkų turto maksimizavimas, todėl svarbu tyrinėti inovacijų ir bendrovės vertės santykį. Šio tyrimo tikslas – ištirti inovacijų poveikį organizacijos vertei. Tiriamos Baltijos šalių bendrovės, veikusios 2005–2011 metų laikotarpiu. Tyrimas parodė, kad inovatyvių bendrovių vertė yra didesnė, didesnės ir jos pačios. Nustatyta, kad didesnė bendrovės vertė pasiekiama, jei nematerialių išteklių dalis viršija 1 %. Taikant koreliaciją ir regresinę analizę, nustatyta, kad inovacijos yra svarbi organizacijos vertės determinantė, organizacijos dydis yra silpnesnis veiksnys, o augimas – pats silpniausias veiksnys. A robust forward-displacement analysis of spherical parallel robots

The forward-displacement analysis of spherical parallel robots (SPRs) is revisited. A robust approach, based on the input–output (I/O) equation of spherical four-bar linkages, is proposed. In this approach, the closed-loop kinematic chain of a SPR is partitioned into two four-bar spherical chains, whose I/O equations are at the core of the analysis reported here. These equations lead to a trigonometric equation in the joint angles, which is solved semigraphically to obtain the joint variables for the determination of the moving plate orientation. Examples are included to demonstrate the application of the method.

Investigation of the aerial parts of Rhyncholacis penicillata afforded the new chromenes, 7-hydroxy-6-(3-methylbutyryl)-5-oxymethyl-chromene (rhynchonin A) and 7-hydroxy-6-(2-methylbutyryl)-6-oxymethylchromene (rhynchonin B). Structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and independent synthesis. Rhynchonin A showed broad insecticidal, acaricidal and nematicidal potency including strong biological activity against Heliothis zea.

As for all other crops, in MAPs as well, weeds, diseases and pests are important yield-reducing factors, which may severely curtain biomass production and, that is maybe more important, may affect several qualitative aspects of production. Research about this topic is generally lacking, for two main reasons: the first is that MAPs are generally grown on rather limited areas, and the incidence of specific pests and diseases rarely takes a relevance outside rather narrow boundaries.
