The Generalitat Valenciana (Valencia Autonomous Community Authority) approved the maternity protection law one year ago. In this article, we talk about this law, its development and its connection with Valencian social services. We also make a point about the situation of social services faced with longstanding and new social needs to guarantee protection for people and groups in a vulnerability and/ or social exclusion situation. We conclude with the affirmation that this law does not propose any new policy in favour of maternity or anything new for the weak structure of social services.

Perspektīvā nanovadus varēs izmantot sensoros, slēdžos, saules baterijās un citās optoelektriskajās ierīcēs, ņemot vērā to lielo virsmas un tilpuma attiecību. Pateicoties šai attiecībai, fizikālās īpašības nanoizmēros ir izteiktākas nekā makroskopiskos izmēros. Līdz šim nebija iespējams iegūt informāciju par Sb2S3 nanovadu fotoelektriskajām īpašībām. The relationship between organizational interdependency and additionality obtained from innovation ecosystem participation

Abstract Despite the increased interest in innovation ecosystems, few studies have assessed the extent to which the proclaimed benefits from participating in such ecosystems also occur, and under which circumstances they do occur. Uniting the literature on organizational interdependence and social exchange theory, we assess the behavioral and output additionality obtained by innovation ecosystem participants. In doing so, we build upon a sample of 473 innovative Finnish companies, of which 312 participated in an innovation ecosystem. Šajā darbā tiks apskatīta mūsdienās lielu nozīmi ieguvusī ANCOVA metode, kuru izmanto medicīniskos pētījumos. Īss ieskats tiek aplūkots divām metodēm-ANOVA metodei un lineārajai regresijai,lai saprastu kā ANCOVA metode tika izveidota. Tas ir ļoti nozīmīgi, jo tās veido ANCOVA metodi. Kā arī teorijas beigās apskata ANCOVA metodi. Metodi pielietojot jāpārbauda dažādi nosacījumi, tāpēc tika izveidots algoritms, kas spēj apvienot visas nepieciešamās darbības, kā arī tiek pievienots R programmas kods. Darba nobeigumā tiks apskatīti arī praktiski piemēri, kuri spēs parādīt tās nozīmīgumu reālās dzīves situācijās.

Using the Johnson-Neyman Procedure to Detect Item Bias in Personality Tests

I present an alternative to a widely used item-bias analysis procedure known as the ANOVA method. The new method is based on the Johnson-Neyman procedure, which is a multiple regression-based technique with properties that can overcome the major weaknesses of the ANOVA method. I introduce the proposed procedure in a non-technical manner, provide an illustrative example, and suggest guidelines for empirical analysis that can be readily applied in personality research.
