Metaficción y autoficción en cuatro autoras contemporáneas. Cristina Fallarás, Sara Mesa, Nuria Labari y Aixa De La Cruz.

2021

Autoras analizadas: Mercedes Formica y Mercedes Salisachs

Die weiblichen Figuren in Elisabeth Werners Romanen: selbstständige Frauen in nationalen Gewändern

2016

The female characters in Elisabeth Werner's novels: independent women in national costumes This essay examines the following novels of Elisabeth Werner: Ein Held der Feder (1872), Gesprengte Fesseln (1875), Heimatklang and Vineta (1877) and Wege des Schicksals (1909). Elisabeth Werner, pseudonym of Elizabeth Bürstenbinder, was one of the most popular writers of the family magazine ‘Die Gartenlaube’. The interest of research at Werner seems still to be relatively low. However, the extensive literary creation of the writer certainly deserves attention; it appears to be different from diverse points from the usual love and women's novels of the XIX century. This study analyses the female figur…

Antikisierende Liebesgeschichten im Taschenbuchformat – Die Briefromane ›Menander und Glycerion‹ und ›Krates und Hipparchia‹

2021

The article analyzes the two later works of Christoph Marin Wieland, Menander and Glycerion, 1803, and Krates and Hipparchia, 1804. The actions of the short epistolary novels take place in ancient Greece. In this article are analyzed the formal, thematic and local similarities. In this article I would like to focus on the reason why shortly after the publication of the long letter novel Aristipp, 1801, Christoph Martin Wieland changes his concept of text types.

Dalya Abudi, Mothers and Daughters in Arab Women's Literature. The family Frontier, Brill, Leiden-Boston 2011, pp. 335

2013

2016

Somali refugees who fled the collapse of their homeland and resettled in EU narrate ‘who they are’ through the graphic novel Meet the Somalis. This paper explores their counter/story to undermine the Fortress Europe’s discourse. The main issue is to look at the diaspora through the trajectory of the journey and the “settling in” phase. The graphic novel as “remarkable antidote” (Said, 2002) narrates stereotypes, racisms and successes of the Somali people, helping the reader to understand them as individuals, with distinct experiences and separate stories.

Identification and molecular characterization of a novel mutation in MSH2 gene in a lynch syndrome family

2017

Background and aim of the work: The Lynch Syndrome (LS) is associated with germline mutations in one of the MisMatch Repair (MMR) genes, including MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2, MLH3 and MSH3. The molecular characterization of mutations in these MMR genes facilitates the pre-symptomatic diagnosis of subjects at risk to develop a colon cancer or a cancer LS-related. Methods: DHPLC and direct sequencing were performed for the mutation detection analysis. Results: In this study, we identified a novel frame shift mutation, the named is c.170delT in MSH2 gene that determined a premature stop codon and consequently, the formation of a truncated protein (p. Val56Glyfs*7). This is a novel mutation, as it …
