Objectives The present study examined reciprocal relations between autonomous motivation from self-determination theory (SDT) and constructs from the theory of planned behavior (TPB) in a sport injury context. Methods The study adopted a three-wave longitudinal cross-lagged panel design. Gestural expressions in use for unveiling dynamic experience attributed to verbs

The focus of this paper is on justifying the presented experimental design that aims at examining the enactive linkages between a verb’s content and a sensorimotor experience of movement. The experiment utilised spontaneous production of hand and vocal gestures for expressing the energetic feel attributed to a word. Preliminary qualitative analysis of the expressions shows degrees of similarity in terms of experiential movement qualities. These results imply that conceiving a verb’s meaning is not necessarily far removed from bodily action. peerReviewed

Peilaan jälkimodernin paikallisyhteisön piirteitä aktiivisista kylistä keräämääni aineistoon. Miten jälkimodernille paikallisyhteisölle ominaiset piirteet, kuten kommunikatiivisuus ja avoimuus niissä rakentuvat? Mitä haasteita ne tuovat tulevaisuuden kylätoiminnalle ja kylien kehittämiselle? Jälkimodernit paikallisyhteisöt eivät rakennu vastavoimana individualismille, vaan osana sitä. Virtual Museum and Small Museums : ViMuseo.fi Project

New media are a huge opportunity and challenge for museums, especially for small institutions without digitized resources. The ViMuseo.fi is a research project conducted at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. The research focuses on the possibilities of new media in presenting cultural heritage in small Finnish museums. As a part of the research, a tool to present small museums on the Web was developed. The ViMuseo tool is a CMS for creating multimedia presentations, and was designed specifically for small institutions without digitized resources. The possible deployment of the tool is also discussed. peerReviewed
