Tohtoriopiskelija julkaisufoorumeilla: kokemuksia puheviestinnän väitöskirjaa tekevien artikkelipajasta

Artikkelissa esitellään tohtoriopiskelijoille järjestettyä artikkelipajaa. Sen tarkoituksena oli tarjota evästystä sekä väitöskirjaan sisältyvien artikkeleiden että post doc -julkaisujen suunnitteluun ja julkaisufoorumien tutkiskeluun. Taustalla oli kokemus siitä, että artikkeliväitöskirjan ohjausprosessi poikkeaa monin tavoin monografiaväitöskirjan ohjauksesta. Vaikka tohtoriopiskelija sopii ohjaajansa kanssa väitöskirjaan tulevista artikkeleista, voidaan julkaisemiseen liittyvää oppimista tukea yhteisesti järjestettävällä artikkelipajalla. nonPeerReviewed

Arvojen selkiinnyttäminen opinto-ohjauksen välineenä

Tutkimuksen tehtävänä on tarkastella miten arvojen selkiinnyttäminen toimii opinto-ohjauksen välineenä. Tutkimuksessa järjestettiin lukion toisen vuosikurssin opiskelijoille arvojen selkiinnyttämisen kurssi (6 x 1 ½ h), jonka aikana nuoret osallistuivat arvojen selkiinnyttämisen toimintaan. Opiskelijoita oli yhteensä 7 kahdessa ryhmässä. Toiminnan kautta haettiin vastausta kahteen tutkimuskysymykseen ja kahteen alakysymykseen: (1) Miten arvojen selkiinnyttäminen vaikuttaa ohjattavan omiin arvoihin? Efficiency vs. values : Institutional logics, situated rationality, and performance measurement in a cooperative bank

This qualitative case study explores how situated rationality is achieved and maintained between two coexisting institutional logics, ‘global’ financial efficiency and ‘local’ customer-owners, around a performance measurement system in a large cooperative bank. We focus especially on the relationship between financial performance measures and softer, cooperative and communal organisational values. For example, international opportunities for those interested in career development facilitator training have increased substantially during the past decade. In this chapter we provide highlights of these developments as they have occurred throughout the world. The chapter details the substantial variability that exists regarding the training career practitioners receive. Effectiveness of a web-based acceptance and commitment therapy program for adolescent career preparation : A randomized controlled trial

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) programs have rarely been used as tools for promoting adolescents' career preparation. This randomized controlled trial examined the possibility to promote the career preparation of Finnish ninth-grade adolescents (n = 249, 49% females) with a web-based five-week ACT-based online intervention program.
