Sokrata tēls Johana Georga Hāmaņa darbā “Sokratiskās cēldomas”

Šī darba mērķis būs sniegt nelielu ieskatu, kas ir arī kā interpretācija, problemātikā, kas saistīta ar Sokrata tēlu Hāmaņa darbā “Sokratische Denkwürdigkeiten” jeb “Sokratiskās cēldomas”. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, vispirms tiks indentificētas problēmas, kas rodas darbā ar Hāmaņa tekstiem. Sekojoši, tiks ieskicēti daži metodoloģiski apsvērumi, kuri varētu būt noderīgi strādājot ar šādu materiālu. Balstoties uz iegūtajiem secinājumiem, mēģināšu identificēt tēmu lokus, kas varētu būt saistāmi ar Sokrata tēlu. Visbeidzot, pievērsīšos Hāmaņa teksta analīzei, lai iezīmētos tēmu lokus ievietotu kontekstā, kur tie iegūst nozīmi.

Why is there truth? Foucault in the age of post-truth politics

Contemporary debates about post‐truth politics have raised the question of the complicity of Michel Foucault’s thought in the apparent decline of the authority of truth in Western democracies. In this article we probe this question in the analysis of Foucault’s theory of true discourses developed in his 1980‐1981 lecture course ‘Subjectivity and Truth’. In this course Foucault argues for non‐necessary and supplementary character of truths in relation to the reality of which they speak. This argument leads him to abandon the familiar approaches to truth as reflecting, concealing or rationalizing reality and look for the effects of truth in the processes of subjectivation. In this chapter, Keith Breen and Onni Hirvonen examine the case for democratic worker voice based on the republican ideal of freedom as non-domination. While not unconvincing, this case is primarily consequentialist in character and therefore open to significant empirical disagreement. Radicalisation of the British aristocracy : aristocratic decline, inter-war fascism and reactionary rhetoric

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the relationship between the decline of British aristocracy and British inter-war fascism. It is argued that there was a link between the decline of aristocratic influence, achieved largely by political and legislative means, and the subsequent radicalisation of the aristocracy. Furthermore, the history and development of British fascism is examined especially in the aristocratic context, and the pre-war radical right groups are placed in the same continuum as the later actual fascist parties.
