The aim of this study was to explore university lecturers' descriptions of their teaching experience with older students. Twelve teachers of the Nau Gran (a university program for older people [UPOP] in Valencia, Spain) were interviewed. We analyzed their responses to questions about their experience of teaching older adults, the rewarding aspects of that experience and the teaching strategies they used. Teachers described their experience as extremely positive and rewarding, and often contrasted the active, interested, and grateful older students with the relatively passive regular younger students. LTC and socio-economic deprivation of families are two relevant issues in international debate. The economic or time investment made by families in caregiving has an impact on the socio-economic status of family members in terms of economic means and social inclusion. This study analyzes the practices that are supported by home LTC, examining their characteristics, identifying their strengths, weaknesses, drivers, and barriers, as well as identifying social innovation aspects. The study provides a qualitative interpretative comparison of 22 practices from eight countries, representing the four LTC care models existing in Europe. Recent changes in Finnish welfare policies have increased the need for family involvement in eldercare. This article uses qualitative interviews to study working adult daughters’ reasons for moving in with their parent(s). Coresidence was linked to the parents’ need for support, but also to the daughters’ life situations, family histories, the availability of welfare services, and cultural norms and values. Intergenerational Interaction and the Benefits of Ageing Employees in a Nursing Home

This chapter explores how ageing employees contribute to intergenerational interaction in an organization from the organizational aesthetics perspective. The data is obtained using interviews with professionals who work at a municipal nursing home designed for older people. Qualitative analysis methods were based on the aesthetic categories of ugliness and grace. As a result, I present a positive example of how ageing employees’ sensitivity and ability to create powerful stories supported the whole work community’s interaction and courage to act.

ResumenEl objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar el impacto percibido por parte de los alumnos como resultado de su participación en el programa de la Universidad de la Experiencia de la Universidad de La Rioja. La muestra estuvo formada por 83 alumnos de dicho programa. Al grupo de estudiantes se les aplicó un cuestionario diseñado ad hoc para evaluar potenciales resultados a diferentes niveles: general, educativo, social, afectivo, cognitivo, físico y afectividad negativa.
