Tolkien znał doskonale historię naszego kontynentu od czasów starożytnych i średniowiecznych, dzięki czemu w jego Śródziemiu istnieje niezwykle duża liczba odniesień do rzeczywistych wydarzeń i faktów. Jest to najbardziej widoczne w bitwie na polach Pelennoru, lecz nie jest to jedyne takie świadectwo. Tämä tutkielma käsittelee suomalaista WWW-sovelluskehystä Vaadinta. Se on palvelinpohjainen Java-kehys rikkaiden WWW-sovellusten kehittämiseen. Tutkielmassa esitellään myös WWW-kehyksiä yleisesti sekä WWW-kehysten yleensä käyttämä MVC-arkkitehtuuri. Lisäksi esitellään myös Vaatimen käyttämät tekniikat: AJAX, UIDL, JSON ja DOM sekä kuinka Vaadin niitä käyttää. Vaatimesta käydään läpi käyttöliittymäkomponentit, tapahtumien käsittely, tietomalli ja ulkoasun muokkaus. Lopuksi esitellään Vaatimen käyttöä esimerkkisovelluksen avulla.

Introduction: Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) may represent a diagnostic challenge, since its clinical picture overlaps with other dementia. Two toolkits have been developed to aid the clinician to diagnose DLB: the Lewy Body Composite Risk Score (LBCRS) and the Assessment Toolkit for DLB (AT-DLB). We aim to evaluate the reliability of these two questionnaires, and their ability to enhance the interpretation of the international consensus diagnostic criteria. El manuscrito encontrado es uno de los motivos presentes en la mayoría de los libros de caballerías y, si bien se trata de un elemento de origen remoto, su frecuente aparición en estas obras, ha hecho que se convierta en uno de sus rasgos característicos. En este artículo se pone de manifiesto la forma en que se plasma este mismo motivo en El Señor de los Anillos de J.R.R. Tolkien, autor que tenía una especial vinculación con la literatura medieval y con lo hispánico.
Light sterile neutrino sensitivity at the nuSTORM facility

A facility that can deliver beams of electron and muon neutrinos from the decay of a stored muon beam has the potential to unambiguously resolve the issue of the evidence for light sterile neutrinos that arises in short-baseline neutrino oscillation experiments and from estimates of the effective number of neutrino flavors from fits to cosmological data. In this paper, we show that the nuSTORM facility, with stored muons of 3.8 GeV/c $\pm$ 10%, will be able to carry out a conclusive muon neutrino appearance search for sterile neutrinos and test the LSND and MiniBooNE experimental signals with 10$\sigma$ sensitivity, even assuming conservative estimates for the systematic uncertainties. Maģistra darba ietvaros tiek veikta vairāku maksas un bezmaksas tīmekļa lietotņu lietotāju saskarnes bibliotēku analīze. Tiek aplūkoti sekojošie parametri: komponenšu piedāvājums, izskats, mobilo ierīču atbalsts, bibliotēku ātrdarbība, komponenšu vizuālā stila nomaiņas iespējas. Bezmaksas bibliotēkām tiek piedāvāti nelieli lietojumprogrammu piemēri. Darba rezultātā tiek iegūtas vadlīnijas, kas atvieglo tīmekļu lietotņu izstrādātāju izvēli par labu kāda…
