Inverse problems for a fractional conductivity equation

This paper shows global uniqueness in two inverse problems for a fractional conductivity equation: an unknown conductivity in a bounded domain is uniquely determined by measurements of solutions taken in arbitrary open, possibly disjoint subsets of the exterior. Both the cases of infinitely many measurements and a single measurement are addressed. The results are based on a reduction from the fractional conductivity equation to the fractional Schr\"odinger equation, and as such represent extensions of previous works. Moreover, a simple application is shown in which the fractional conductivity equation is put into relation with a long jump random walk with weights.
Spherical harmonic expansion of fundamental solutions and their derivatives for homogenous elliptic operators

In this work, a unified scheme for computing the fundamental solutions of a three-dimensional homogeneous elliptic partial differential operator is presented. The scheme is based on the Rayleigh expansion and on the Fourier representation of a homogeneous function. The scheme has the advantage of expressing the fundamental solutions and their derivatives up to the desired order without any term-by-term differentiation. Moreover, the coefficients of the series need to be computed only once, thus making the presented scheme attractive for numerical implementation. In the papers Iterates of Stancu Operators, via Contraction Principle (2002), respectively Iterates of Bernstein Operators, via Contraction Principle (2004), author I. A. Rus studied the existence of fixed points for Stancu operators Pn,α,β and Bernstein operators Bn. The aim of this paper is to find conditions for which the Stancu operators Pn,α,β are contractions on the graph, in order to demonstrate that the contraction principle can be applied for the study of the existence of fixed points for iterates of Stancu operators. Two examples related to conical energies

In a recent article we introduced and studied conical energies. We used them to prove three results: a characterization of rectifiable measures, a characterization of sets with big pieces of Lipschitz graphs, and a sufficient condition for boundedness of nice singular integral operators. In this note we give two examples related to sharpness of these results. One of them is due to Joyce and M\"{o}rters, the other is new and could be of independent interest as an example of a relatively ugly set containing big pieces of Lipschitz graphs.

mmWave radars play a vital role in autonomous systems, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), ground station control and monitoring systems. The challenging task when using mmWave radars is to estimate the accurate angle of arrival (AoA) of the targets, due to the limited number of receivers. In this paper, we present a novel AoA estimation technique, using mmWave FMCW radars operating in the frequency range 77–81 GHz by utilizing the mechanical rotation.
