Objectives: University students commonly engage in heavy episodic drinking (HED), which contributes to injury risk, deleterious educational outcomes, and economic costs. Reciprocal relations between past behavior, implicit beliefs, and habits : A cross-lagged panel design

The current study assessed cross-lagged relationships between binge drinking, implicit beliefs, and habit in undergraduate university students ( N = 105). Students completed self-report survey and implicit measures in lab visits 3 months apart. A structural equation model revealed cross-lagged relations between habit and behavior, and some evidence for a reciprocal relationship between implicit beliefs and habit. Implicit beliefs were related to alcohol behavior across time, but no cross-lagged relationship was observed. Käsitykset oppimisesta ja opettamisesta ovat kasvatusalan ydinkysymyksiä. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tutkia Jyväskylän yliopiston luokanopet-tajakoulutuksessa esiintyviä käsityksiä hyvästä opiskelijasta ja hyvästä koulut-tajasta sekä näiden käsitysten taustalla vaikuttavia oppimiskäsityksiä. Tutki-muksessa selvitettiin myös, muuttuvatko nämä käsitykset opintojen myötä. The purpose of this research is to enrich the studies in the field of teachers’ professional development and the field of international students’ study. Liikkuva opiskelu -ohjelman myötä myös korkeakouluopiskelijoiden opiskelupäivän aikaiseen liikkumiseen ja paikallaanoloon on alettu kiinnittämään enemmän huomiota. Opiskelupäivien ja oppituntien aktivointi nähdään tarpeellisena, sillä vain puolet opiskelijoista liikkuu liikkumissuosituksiin nähden tarpeeksi. Myös istumista kertyy korkeakouluopiskelijoille lähes 11 tuntia päivittäin, ja iso osa tästä määrästä kertyy nimenomaan opiskelupäivän aikana. Istumisen vähentäminen ja opiskelupäivien aktivoiminen on perusteltua terveydellisistä syistä, mutta tauottamalla istumista tai aktivoimalla opetusta voidaan vaikuttaa myönteisesti myös opiskelijoiden jaksamiseen sekä opiskelukykyyn. Artikkeli käsittelee pedagogista kokeilua ja kehittämistä luokanopettajakoulutuksessa. Ilmiölähtöistä oppimista tarkastellaan opiskelijoiden toimijuuden kehittymisenä työelämään kiinnittyvässä oppimisympäristössä. Tarkastelun keskiössä on se, miten opiskelijat hyödyntävät sosiaalisia voimavaroja vertaissuhteissa, suhteissa opettajankouluttajiin ja luokanopettajiin kouluyhteistyössä. AbstractIn this chapter we examine a foreign language learning environment in a community-engaged setting in a Canadian city through a new materialist lens. As part of a service-learning project, Canadian students of Finnish language and culture visit a Finnish language seniors’ centre regularly to participate in different activities and spend time with the Finnish-speaking seniors. We examine the assemblage of the participants (seniors and students) and one artefact, a map, and offer a close analysis of the intra-action that takes place during one visit at the centre. Assessment is viewed as an internal and pivotal part of learning, where cultural factors, previous experiences, and future aspirations affect learners’ perceptions.
