Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tarkastella laadullista tutkimusmenetelmää käyttäen millainen on liikuntaa ja hyvinvointia edistävä oppimisympäristö ensisijaisesti ammattiin opiskelevien mutta myös ammatillisessa oppilaitoksessa opettavien mielestä. Tutkimuksen kohteena olivat Länsirannikon Koulutus Osakeyhtiö WinNovan Porin yksikön sosiaali-, terveys- ja kauneusalan toisen vuosikurssin opiskelijat sekä opettajat. Virtual Exchange (VE) is a form of experiential learning that relies heavily on learning-by-doing and reflection. The present study draws on visual data comprising students’ perceptions of critical learning incidents presented under an imaginary magnifying glass. To complete this project-closing reflective activity, the students had to describe a critical moment that they had experienced during VE and present it in a visual form. Teacher beliefs about student agency in whole-class playing

This study explores music teachers’ beliefs of student agency in whole-class playing and investigates what characterises student agency through teachers’ values, actions and observations within this unique multimodal and -dimensional learning environment. Our abductive analysis of 11 interviews reveals that the role of teacher support is significant in enacting students’ agency. This study provides insights into student agency through the eyes and actions of teachers within the context of whole-class playing and suggests that the enactment of different aspects of student agency is an essential feature necessary for whole-class playing to succeed. peerReviewed

In most academic disciplines nowadays, German plays only a minor role in academic publishing. On the other hand, academic mobility has increased and Germany is the most popular target country for Finnish students. For any successful academic exchange with German-speaking countries, a sound competence in German is a major advantage.
