A comparative study of the behaviour of silver, copper and nickel submitted to a constant high power flux density
2005
In this paper, we present a numerical simulation of three metal cathode (silver, copper and nickel) submitted to a constant flux power flux density ranging between and . The goal is to compare the interface evolution (vaporization and liquefaction rate, appearance time of liquid and vapour, energetic repartition) to predict the behaviour of the cathodes during an electric arc.
Supercontinuum generation in chalcogenide: application to gas spectroscopy in atmospheric band III
2023
This thesis work aims to contribute to the development of new fiber sources emitting over a wide range of wavelengths in the IR, in particular to detect greenhouse gases in the mid-infrared range. Our spectroscopy results with nitrous oxide N2O and methane CH4 are obtained in band III. To achieve this, the generation of supercontinuum (SC) covering band III was made possible by using chalcogenide optical fibers, purified and free of highly toxic elements according to REACH regulations, in particular arsenic and antimony. The fibrable vitreous composition belonging to the Ge-Se-Te ternary system fits perfectly into the context of sustainable development, it is the one that has been identifie…
Retracted Article: Differential detection and quantification of cyclic AMP and other adenosine phosphates in live cells
2017
A new naphthol-based rhodamine derivative (NpRD) has been developed for the selective and differential detection of adenosine 3′,5′-cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) and adenosine phosphates (APs) (ATP, ADP, and AMP) from other nucleotides. The simple detection and quantification of cAMP in human blood cells and in other samples based on the ‘turn on’ fluorescence properties of this chemosensor through colorimetry or fluorometry makes it unique for probable application in high throughput screening.
Synthesis of new fluorescent amino acids with a triazolopyridine core: diacid sensors
2018
A new family of amino acid containing pyridine–triazolopyridine cores has been prepared by means of a copper catalysed reaction. These compounds exhibit an intense emission that has been employed to sense the distance between two carboxylic acids in a linear molecule, from oxalic to glutaric acids.
Self-assembly of an iron(ii)-based M5L6 metallosupramolecular cage
2011
A pentanuclear M(5)L(6) coordination cage is self-assembled in solution from a rigid linear heteroditopic phen-tpy ligand and an iron (II) salt.
Organic chelate-free and azido-rich metal clusters and coordination polymers from the use of Me3SiN3: a new synthetic route to complexes with beautif…
2019
In this Feature Article, we highlight the feasibility of a new, recently developed approach towards the synthesis of high-spin molecules and single-molecule magnets (SMMs). The key to the preparation of such molecular compounds is the organic azide precursor Me3SiN3, which fosters the formation of 3d-metal azido clusters and coordination polymers without requiring the assistance of any organic chelating/bridging group. All the isolated compounds contain metallic cores which are surrounded by end-on bridging N3− groups. Consequently, the reported molecular materials exhibit ferromagnetic exchange interactions between the spin carriers, resulting in the stabilization of the maximum possible s…
Selective precipitation of alkyl dihalides using a newly synthesized water-soluble bisphosphorylpillar[5]arene
2016
Bisphosphorylpillar[5]arenes ( and ) were synthesized and used to study the host-guest complexation in organic solvents and water. The interactions between the guests and the phosphate of the hosts lead to strong binding towards alkyl dihalides and alkyldiammonium ions. may be used to detect or separate alkyl dihalides in water due to the rapid precipitation of the complex.
Optical data storage in Langmuir-Blodgett-Kuhn multilayer assemblies of azo-dye side chain LC-polymers
1991
We describe the preparation of LB-films of novel polymers containing azobenzene dye side chains. X-ray refection measurements, surface-plasmon experiments were used to determine the structure of LB-films which had been transferred onto a substrate. Illumination with UV-light causes trans-cis isomerisation of the azobenzene side groups. This effect can be used for optical data storage and will be discussed in detail.
Reversible Digital And Holographic Optical Storafe In Polymeric Liquid Crystals (PLC)
1987
A new reversible optical storage technique based on azo dye containing liquid crystalline polymers and copolymers is described. Monodomain films of the polymers were used as storage medium. Digital and holographic information was stored and reconstructed. The stored information can be erased and the writing process is repeatable. The storage process is explained in terms of a transcis isomerization of the mesogen inducing local director field distortions.
Photoreactions in Langmuir-Blodgett-Kuhn multilayer assemblies of liquid crystalline azo-dy side-chain polymers
2007
Reversible and persistent optical data storage in Langmuir-Blodgett-Kuhn liquid crystalline systems has been reported recently. Depending on the molecular structure, the trans-cis isomerization in these systems (induced by illumination with UV- and VIS-light) leads to different macroscopic behavior of the chromophore percentage on the photo-induced structural changes in a series of statistical copolymers.
