Sito web del Laboratorio di Indagini e Restauro dei Beni Architettonici L.I.R.B.A. "Salvatore Boscarino", fondato nel 1982, che svolge attività di ricerca applicate al restauro del patrimonio architettonico di interesse storico ed artistico. È impegnato nel settore delle indagini diagnostiche indirette e organizza campagne d'indagini che prendono in considerazione le problematiche della conservazione delle fabbriche architettoniche, pianificando progetti diagnostici da svolgere in sito ed analisi di laboratorio.

Il contributo presenta i risultati di un’indagine che si è proposta di individuare le difficoltà e i bisogni formativi manifestati dagli studenti del Corso di Laurea in Scienze della Formazione Primaria, con particolare attenzione alle esigenze di unitarietà e di integrazione delle diverse attività formative previste: le esperienze dei laboratori, del tirocinio e delle lezioni. Si è inteso anche individuare gli studenti in ritardo nel loro percorso universitario, con la finalità di attivare un servizio di consulenza rivolto prevalentemente a loro. Milzu apaļpūpēdis 103 cm apkārtmērā

On September 2nd, 1922, the 103 cm in circumference giant puffball fungus was found in the park of the Rīgas Sarkankalna vājprātīgo iestāde. Nowadays it is in the Botany and Mycology collections of the Museum of the University of Latvia. The article provides information on finding and sending the fungus to the University of Latvia, as well as a description of the species of the giant puffball (Calvatia gigantea).

The European Space Agency (ESA)’s Sentinel-2A (S2A) mission is providing time series that allow the characterisation of dynamic vegetation, especially when combined with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)/United States Geological Survey (USGS) Landsat 7 (L7) and Landsat 8 (L8) missions. Optical Quality Comparison between Spherical and Aspheric Toric Intraocular Lenses

Purpose To measure and compare the optical quality of spherical and aspheric toric intraocular lenses (IOLs). Methods Wavefront aberrations of AcrySof Toric and IQ Toric IOLs (Alcon Laboratories) for different powers were measured at 3- and 5-mm pupils by Nimo TR0805 instrument. The Zernike coefficients of trefoil, coma, tetrafoil, secondary astigmatism, and spherical aberration were evaluated. The point spread functions (PSFs) of each IOL evaluated were calculated from the wavefront aberrations. ABSTRACT: Allegorical and emblematic images do not appear exclusively in visual literature: Genres such as the Italian or the Italian-inspired Counter-Reformation oratorios, cantatas and sacred or moral operas often contain images quite similar in form and function to those published in the Seventeenth and early Eighteenth-century European collections of emblems. This article analyses some of these parallelisms in the particular case of Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno (c. 1707), by the librettist and patron of the arts Cardinal Benedetto Pamphilj and the composer Georg Friedrich Handel.
